For the last few weeks, WWE has been showing vignettes during Monday Night Raw to update fans on Cody Rhodes' road to recovery. Tonight's episode featured a very special announcement from Cody: The American Nightmare declared that he will be participating in this year's Royal Rumble.

It's hard not to see Cody as a favorite to win this year's Royal Rumble. When he returned to WWE, he announced that he wanted to claim the one prize that always eluded his legendary father, the American Dream Dusty Rhodes: The WWE Championship.
