WWE producer D-Von Dudley has shared some insight into the state of affairs between Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax following what appeared to be a match that went from scripted to very personal pretty quickly. Flair and Jax faced each other on Raw this past Monday night and, given the heavy exchanges, fans were left to assume it developed into a shoot.

Dudley, a WWE Hall of Famer, discussed the incident on his Table Talk podcast this week and, while he admitted that things got rough during the actual match, he claims the performers got over it pretty quickly. Dudley also noted that, contrary to rumors, the two superstars did not get into another fight backstage.

Nia Jax vs. Charlotte Flair

“A lot of people suspect Nia and Charlotte got into it heavy,” he said in quotes obtained from Sportskeeda.com. “I even heard some reports that they were beating each other up in the back. Number one, they weren’t beating each other up in the back. Something happened in the ring, they handled it the way they handled it and they got over it. It’s as simple as that. They got over it.

“Were things done in the ring? I think it’s obvious. No dirt sheet writer can put me on blast and go, ‘Well, D-Von said…’ No, everybody saw what happened this past Monday. It got a little rough. It happens. It’s not the first time it happened, but of course, everyone is making a big deal out of it.

“I love both those ladies and wish them nothing but the best. If they have another built-up match, you best believe people are going to be watching. That’s one of the great things about what happened on Monday.

“When these two do get a rematch, people will be watching that and will want to see every little thing. I guarantee people will be nitpicking and watching every single move. The two ladies had a misunderstanding, they solved it, and now we move on.”

A Title Match In The Making

Jax picked up the win over Charlotte on the night - the fight was not for Charlotte's title - and it is believed that the two will square off over the belt in the near future.

The former has earned the reputation of being a dangerous competitor to work with and has been responsible for fellow wrestlers getting hurt in the past. That someone got into it with her on TV was a bit of a surprise, yet it probably shouldn't have been.
