AEW ended a number of ongoing angles and started up some news ones at Revolution. Someone who has come out of the PPV without a discernable direction is Jade Cargill. As the TBS Champion highlighted on Dynamite, at 29-0 and with Tay Conti in her rearview mirror, the undefeated star has run out of challengers. That prompted her to issue an open challenge, and someone she is yet to face is very interested.

Ember Moon Answers Jade Cargill

That someone is Ember Moon, the released WWE Superstar who now goes by the name Athena. Moon replied to Cargill's open challenge tweet with a simple “hmmmm” followed by a few emojis, and Cargill took the bait. The champ responded by asking the former NXT Women's Champion to tell her how she really feels, saying she doesn't play games.

Moon certainly didn't need to be told twice. “GIVE ME A MATCH SO I CAN TAKE YOUR TITLE! Talk to ya boy and make it happen,” Moon replied. Cargill has since responded to that tweet a number of times. First telling AEW's Shawn Dean that “another reject” needs a job, and then following up by saying it was looking a little dry out there for Moon right now without any TV.

Cargill Is 29-0

The TBS Champ continued to reply to fans getting involved in the quickly evolving beef, and now all that remains to be seen is if this match is really going to happen. Cargill's next defense certainly needs to be a big one as her next win will be her 30th without losing a single match should she be victorious. Bringing someone like Moon in for a one-off match would be a great way to give it a sense of occasion without having to feed someone else contracted to AEW to the undefeated champion.

As for Moon, since she was released by WWE at the start of November, she has sat through her 90-day non-compete and is able to wrestle wherever she likes. Whether it's a one-off match or a deal with AEW, a match against Cargill feels like it would be in the best interest of all parties involved. While AEW can't sign everyone, Cargill quickly running out of challengers is evidence that its women's division still needs strengthening.
