Emma Answers Ronda Rousey's Open Challenge

Tonight was Ronda Rousey's first title defense since taking the Smackdown Women's Championship from Liv Morgan at Extreme Rules in Philadelphia. The new champion issued an open challenge for tonight's episode of Smackdown. Rousey's challenge was answered by Emma herself, who made quite a splash on her return. She received a warm ovation and put Ronda through a much harder fight than the champion was expecting to have tonight.

Despite a strong showing by Emma, she was unable to capture the Smackdown Women's Championship. Still, Smackdown has been in desperate need of female babyfaces, so it shouldn't be hard for Emma to secure a spot for herself near the top of the mountain.

Other superstars, such as IMPACT's Chelsea Green and Mia Yim, have also been rumored to return to WWE. Whether or not these rumors will come to fruition remains unknown.
