Let's all be real here. There's nothing quite as hot as watching a woman in body paint. Well except for watching one completely nude without body paint.
The chances of seeing celebrities butt naked are quite slim, but thanks to Kim Kardashian and her saucy sex tape with Ray J some years back, things are getting better. Catching a view in body paint, however, is certainly more possible. And fortunately, it's really catching on.
Body painting is a very delightful art which takes loads of time and patience. But it's rather easy to be patient when you're getting paid. We've seen a good few celebs pose in the cheeky, revealing outfits, and man do they look amazing.
Sports personalities of the female variety have been getting in on the act too, as you're bound to find out if you keep scrolling down (and I bet you will). We have Sports Illustrated (bless their souls) to thank for a whole lot of it, as they make it their duty to display our stars in the most stunning view possible.
I know I don't need to say it, but... scroll down and check out 15 of these female athletes (p.s some of them aren't, really) who look hot as hell wearing body paint.
16 Alex Morgan
This 28-year-old American soccer star is able to wow us off the pitch as much as she can on it. Alex Morgan, who plays as a forward for the Orlando Pride in the NWSL and the United States women's national soccer team, has made two appearances in Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition.
She featured in the 2012 shoot in some healthy body paint, as you can see above, returning two years later for the magazine's 50th anniversary issue.
Morgan is well established in the world of soccer as well, having won Olympic gold in 2012. She was also named the U.S Soccer Athlete of the Year for the said year, making it as a finalist in the FIFA World Player of the Year too. The veteran has made 125 appearances for her country since 2010, a period during which she has scored an incredible 78 goals.
15 Angela Orsini
Angela Orsini is now a sports and fitness coach, but used to be a member of the Baltimore Charm in the Legends Football League, formerly branded Lingerie Football League.
The ex-player has been around the block and back in her career, having played women's basketball before working as an admin assistant for two college basketball teams, as well as a radio co-host and an accounting executive. She now plies her trade as the lead trainer and marketing director for athletic company FASST.
In 2013, she appeared in a body paint shoot for Modelz View Magazine in which body paint artist Jamie Delawder worked his magic.
Angela is of the belief that women's sports, in general, don't do females justice with the mostly unattractive uniforms.
"Our bodies are very attractive and we should be able to flaunt them a little bit," she declared in an interview last year. "Do we need to flaunt them in the way that we flaunted them in the football league I played in? Probably not that much. But uniforms that fit us, in all sports, would be a lot better."
14 Ronda Rousey
Ronda Rousey used to be the hottest thing in the UFC's women's division, but after two shocking losses, her career has taken a bit of a step back. The 30-year-old mixed martial artist, also a budding actress, had the lights knocked out of her by Holly Holm in 2015, and would find out that a return was not to be that simple after spending nearly a year out of the octagon as Amanda Nunes stepped up to knock her down again.
Regaining her status as top UFC woman will take some doing, but she does have an acting career to fall back on - plus she is sexy as hell. The picture above is part of a 2016 Swimsuit shoot for Sports Illustrated during which she posed for the cameras in nothing but body paint.
There's no knocking her off that pedestal!
13 Natalie Coughlin
The extremely hot Natalie Coughlin is an American swimmer who has won 12 Olympic medals. She became the first woman to complete the 100-meter backstroke in under a minute back in 2002, and has gathered 25 gold medals in total in international competitions.
Natalie appeared in the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimwear Edition wearing sexy blue body paint that showed off her captivating physique.
"When I was asked to do the body paint for Sports Illustrated, I was so excited. I didn't even think twice about saying yes," she said after her featuring. " I was really mesmerized by the process. I didn't feel like I had clothes on but I didn't feel fully naked, it was somewhere in between the two."
12 Natalie Gulbis
The beautiful blonde pictured above is a professional golfer who also managed to land her own television show in 2005. And she was the first athlete to ever pose in body paint for Sports Illustrated - at least that's how she tells it.
Here's her story: "As I was walking into the elevator after my first meeting at the SI office, I asked them if they had ever body-painted an athlete before, and as the door was closing on the elevator, the senior editor was like, “No we haven’t. Would you do it?” And I said, “I think so…let me see...I think so!
"So, from that, SI came back to me sometime after and said, “O.K., we’ve decided we’re going to body-paint athletes. Does that sound like something you’d like to be a part of?” It was an honor, and it was exciting."
We really do owe her a bit of gratitude.
10 Lindsey Vonn
Lindsey Vonn is an American ski racer who is only one of two women to have won four World Cup Championships. The 32-year-old is also one of six women to win World Cup races in all five versions of alpine ski racing.
Lindsey spent two years with golfer Tiger Woods before their relationship ended in 2015, and judging by the photo above, he must really be missing her.
She appeared in SI's 2016 Swimwear issue, and admitted that she did have reservations before stripping down to pose in nothing but paint.
"I was really excited when MJ contacted me," she told SI. I mean I wasn't quite sure if I was comfortable at first but I figured it's pretty much the same as wearing a bathing suit anyway so I might as well go for it. And you don't get that opportunity very often."
9 Caroline Wozniacki
Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki is the proud holder of 25 WTA singles titles. She is also quite hot.
The 27-year-old dated golfer Rory McIlroy for three years before the Northern Irishman ended things in 2011, despite being engaged. But she's back on the horse these days, having kicked off a relationship with NBA free agent David Lee, who spent last season with the San Antonio Spurs.
The tennis star was also part of SI's 2016 Swimsuit Edition, showing off her incredible body with the help of a bit of paint. She didn't stop there, however. Wozniacki also features completely nude for ESPN The Magazine’s annual Body Issue for 2017.
8 Melissa Satta
Melissa Satta isn't an athlete, however, she's married to one. She did play football in her earlier years, as well as compete in Karate competitions, but she now works as a television presenter in Italy.
Satta was born in the United States, but has Italian citizenship too, as her parents are Italian. She is the wife of Las Palmas midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng, brother of Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng. The pair hooked up in 2011 and have two children together. They tied the knot in June of last year.
The image up top is from a shoot done in 2010 with Sports Illustrated's WAGs body painting feature. Back then, she was in a relationship with former Italy striker Christian Vieri, and posed in Italy's national colors possibly as a show of some support. Sadly, the relationship tailed off and Boateng would swoop in.
7 Arianny Celeste
It would be fair to assume that a lot of men took up an interest in the UFC because of Arianny Celeste. While she isn't an athlete, it would still be remiss of us to leave her off this list.
The ring girl is quite popular in her own right, and has become a huge celebrity herself. It's really not hard to see why, especially as she's made it rather easy in the above photo.
A few years ago, the Celeste posed in the most skintight clothes she could find to promote UFC 148 in a sizzling photo shoot alongside partner in crime Brittney Palmer. That was probably the moment when UFC won over their largest section of male viewers.
6 The Australian Women's Rugby Team
You may not have known this, but Australian women were probably the ones who paved the way for such a thing. Apparently, provocative camera shots have been a thing over there for a very long time.
Helen Jefferson Lenskyj, who has had many words published on women, sport and sexuality, claims that Australian women set the nude calendar trend way back in 1990 in her book Olympic Industry Resistance: Challenging Olympic Power and Propaganda.
She went on to state that by 1994, members of the Australian women's track and field team were already featuring in body paint. The image above is from a 2001 shoot portraying the Aussie women's rugby side. Unfortunately, we couldn't come up with the 94 bunch, so you'll have to do with just that.
5 Melina Perez
Melina Perez was known to many as just Melina during her time in the WWE. The 38-year-old California native now wrestles on the independent circuit, having left the WWE six years ago.
She was no stranger to body paint whilst there, though, and appeared in more than one shoot showing off her insanely voluptuous body. It's no wonder Batista couldn't let John Morrison have her all to himself!
The former Diva created history in the WWE, becoming the very first woman to win both the Women's Championship and Divas Championship on more than one occasion. She won the former title three times and the latter twice. Melina even once posed with body paint on while holding the women's championship, making the hotness in the photo twice as good.
4 4. Kelly Kelly
Barbara Jean Blank-Souray, known as Kelly Kelly to fans of WWE, worked as a wrestler for six years, joining the business in 2006 and departing in 2012. She's certainly one of the most blessed Divas to ever set foot in the ring. And admit it, you'd totally love it if she returned someday.
Blank developed a bit of a reputation for getting around with the guys on set. She dated both John Cena and Batista during her time as a wrestler, as well as the likes of Test, Justin Gabriel, Jeff Hardy and Dolph Ziggler.
As if showing off her hot body in the ring every week wasn't enough, the now 30-year-old got really bare with the cameras on one occasion, displaying her pair in neat body paint while holding the American flag. Going out on a limb here, but I imagine Donald Trump wouldn't mind her on his arm at all.
3 Abbey Clancy
Another non-athlete-but-married-to-one type here, sorry. But I'm sure you don't mind at all. The beauty above is British TV presenter and model Abbey Clancy. She is married to Stoke City striker peter Crouch, and back in June, she revealed that she was pregnant with the couple's third child by appearing in a bathing suit with a cute baby bump.
In 2010, Abby was part of the SI WAGs body paint issue, along with the above-mentioned Melissa Satta and the hottie we're coming to next.
Donning England's colors, Crouch's possibly more famous other half (really stretching it here, but the guy is a bit of a stretch himself) got in front of the camera to gift us with a few stunning images of her inch-perfect bod.
Lucky man, that Crouch.
2 Bethany Dempsey
So let's just skip the part about her not being an athlete but making it to this list anyway because she's hot AF.
Right. So Bethany Dempsey, as you lot must have already figured out, is the wife of US men's soccer star Clint Dempsey. Bethany met Clint whilst still in college and they tied the knot in 2007.
Also part of the Sports Illustrated WAGs body paint issue, she told sources she didn't feel naked at all after her shoot. “You don’t feel naked, because you look in the mirror and it looks like you are wearing a swimsuit. The detailing is amazing.”
A lot of us might not see it that way, Bethany. We would only hope we'll be seeing more body paint looks in the future.
1 Brittney Palmer
The second half of that sizzling UFC promo shoot mentioned above.
Brittney Palmer is just as much a celebrity as her colleague Arianny Celeste, and posed alongside her in just a little more than her birthday suit, making UFC 148 a memorable affair even before it began.
According to her husband Aaron Zalewski, Brittney is just as deadly as the fighters she spends a lot of her time around. Court documents from a civil suit involving the two described the octagon girl as "highly trained, skilled and experienced in mixed martial arts."
It's safe to assume that she's probably put the hurtin' on him a few times. But hey, he's the same guy who was charged for attempted murder after choking her out a few years back.
