15 Female Athletes Who Love To Flaunt On Social Media

Whether it's because they crave the attention or feel empowered by showcasing their beautiful body, we're thankful for it either way.

Being a female athlete comes with its challenges, especially on social media - hell, being a female on social media is hard enough. Outside of the majority that might be friendly and polite, women have to deal with the vocal minority that either wants to spew vile garbage at them for no reason other than the fact they're a woman or the other vocal minority group that wants to see some "TNA". You could easily forgive prominent female athletes for never using social media, and the ones that do likely have to utilize the block or mute button quite frequently; in fact, that job alone might require hiring a staff. However, there are numerous women athletes who continue to give fans the goods on their social media accounts and have amassed quite the following as a result.

Whether it's because they crave the attention or feel empowered by showcasing their beautiful body, we're thankful for it either way. We live in a world in which every tweet or Instagram post can change your life, hence most posts are meticulously crafted or scrutinized before hitting the send button. And the few prominent female athletes who do choose to show off their beach bodies often face backlash in different forms; so while others might criticize, we're here to celebrate the 15 sexiest women who enjoy flaunting their assets on social media.

15 Amber Hill

Often when we talk about beautiful women athletes, it's in the sport of soccer, volleyball, tennis, and even more traditional sports like hockey. But sometimes you have to look elsewhere to find the real hidden gems - that's the case with 20 year old Great Britain native Amber Hill, who represented her country in skeet shooting at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janerio.

14 Darya Klishina

The weekend smells good 😊 πŸŒŠπŸ’‹

A post shared by The official Darya Klishina (@dariaklishina) on

A 26 year old Russian long jumper, Darya Klishina is fairly accomplished in the sport, although it's not like she's an Olympic champion. However, she did earn bronze at the 2014 European Championships as well as multiple gold medals at the European Indoor Championships and European Junior Championships. She's far from a household name, even in her native country, but that hasn't stopped her from amassing over 200,000 followers on Instagram, in large part due to her willingness to showcase her beautiful smile, not to mention her stunning beach bod.

13 Nikki Bella

You probably didn't come here expecting to find WWE Diva, but let's be honest they're just as deserving of athlete status - perhaps even more so - than women in traditional sports. If we wanted, we could include almost every WWE Diva in this list as most seem fairly confident and proud of their body, but we'll limit it to Nikki Bella, who is perhaps the most proud, given the extent to which she posts revealing photos.

12 Alana Blanchard

🌍

A post shared by Alana Blanchard (@alanarblanchard) on

What type of female athlete do you think would be most likely to post the most photos in which she is scantily-clad or wearing next to nothing at all? Alana Blanchard is a professional surfer, so it stands to reason that most of the time she is photographed, she's either at the beach wearing revealing bathing suits. Oh, and to top it all off, she's a professional model.

11 Michelle Jenneke

My favourite time of year β˜€οΈπŸ˜Š #summer

A post shared by Michelle Jenneke (@mjenneke93) on

In her home country of Australia, Michelle Jenneke is known for being an Olympic hurdler who won the 2016 Australian National Championships as well as the 2010 Junior National Championships, but to everyone else she's the beautiful woman who earned worldwide attention in 2012 for her endearing and sexy pre-race warmup routine.

10 Genie Bouchard

A post shared by Genie Bouchard (@geniebouchard) on

We would be remiss if we didn't include the poster woman for social media flaunting - Genie Bouchard. Righly or wrongly, Bouchard has been criticized by the media and tennis analysts for her off-the-court actions, including her interest in fashion and use of social media. She isn't necessarily over the top on Instagram, but it's clear she definitely enjoys being the beautiful woman she is as well as the attention that comes with it.

9 Ellen Hoog

A post shared by Ellen Hoog (@ellen_hoog) on

The Netherlands is awesome. You can walk into a cafe, consume edibles and then go on a trippy bike ride throughout the city and nobody would give a damn. It has also produced beauties such as Ellen Hoog, a field hockey player who starred for the country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. The 31 year old has been on the national team since 2004 and she had the defining moment of her career at the Olympics, when she scored the winning goal for the Netherlands in its semifinal match against Germany. The country ended up winning silver, but Hoog was a part of the previous two Olympic teams which won gold.

8 Paige VanZant

Tell me a secret.... 🌹

A post shared by Paige VanZant (@paigevanzantufc) on

Ronda Rousey gets far too much credit for being a beautiful mixed martial artist. For starters, she was proven as a bit of a fraud as the UFC started bringing in a more competitive women's roster, but beyond that, she wasn't even the sexiest woman on the roster. You could make the argument that a number of women were better looking than Rousey, especially Paige VanZant, who is somehow cute as a button and stunningly sexy and sultry at the exact same time.

7 McKayla Maroney

Depending on what day you check, McKayla Maroney may or may not have Instagram. The former Olympian best known for her not impressed expression that inspired a popular Internet meme deleted her account last month before reactivating it and deleting it again. By the time you read this post, she may have activated it once again. It's a constant pattern for the 21 year old, who has been under the public microscope since the 2012 Summer Olympics when she was just 16 years old.

6 Anastasia Ashley

Surfers and models seem to go hand-in-hand. It seems unlikely that, at least on the women's side, there would be anything but beautiful ladies participating in the sport. That notion is further cemented by the fact that Anastasia Ashley is a prominent name in the sport. The beautiful beach babe is a 2003 Triple Crown Rookie of the Year recipient as well as a former Professional Surfing Tour of America and Pipeline Women's Pro champion.

5 Tiffany Suarez

welcome to my world 🌴

A post shared by Tiffany Noelle Suarez (@tiffanysuarez3) on

Tiffany Suarez might be the least known athlete on this last, but that needs to change. Whereas the majority of athletes on this list are known for their world-class abilities and stunning good looks, Suarez trails a bit in the world-class talent category, but makes up for it with her unbelievable body and incredible fashion sense. One might expect the NCAA basketball player to be all about the game, but she's obviously posturing for a future career in modeling, and she should have no trouble in that regard.

4 Kaylyn Kyle

Kaylyn Kyle recently announced she was retiring from the Canadian women's national soccer program and didn't play for any club this past season, but we'd be foolish not to include her on this list. The 28 year old native of Saskatchewan first made waves worldwide when she subbed in during a 2012 Olympics contest for the bronze-medal winning Canadians. Not to slight any of the other women on that team, who were good looking in their own right, but Kyle immediately stood out as a blonde beauty who looked as though she stepped right out of a magazine.

3 Blair O'Neal

Golf isn't necessarily the sport men associate with beautiful women, unless it's Paulina Gretzky, who only happens to be married to a golfer. But recently, there have been several women to emerge that have been responsible for changing that notion, one of which is Blair O'Neal, a professional who had limited success in tournaments, but did win the Big Break reality show and eventually earned hosting duties on the golf channel.

2 Leryn Franco

TMZ called Leryn Franco the hottest Olympian ever in a 2012 video they uploaded of her wearing a bikini, and while that's a bold claim, we may tend to agree. The three-time Olympian competed in the javelin throw at the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Summer Olympics and, although she finished outside the top 30 in all three years, the Paraguayan beauty won the hearts of men everywhere with her firm body, beautiful face, and bountiful backside.

1 Paige Spiranac

😽

A post shared by Paige Spiranac (@_paige.renee) on

If Blair O'Neal was partially responsible for getting men talking about women's golf, Paige Spiranac is the reason why they keep coming back to the sport, or, at the very least, regularly checking out her Instagram account. The professional golfer has over 1.2 million followers on the social media platform, where she frequently shows off her curvy body with no shame whatsoever. In fact, Spiranac is quite proud of her body and sexuality and expressed as much in a recent editorial regarding the LPGA's implementation of a more strict dress code limiting women's abilities for variation in their outfits.

"If professionalism in golf equals athleticism, then athleticism should be promoted and showcased, and that means allowing the clothes that promote it," Spiranac wrote. "By labeling women as looking 'unprofessional' when showing cleavage or shorts worn under a skirt, the LPGA is perpetrating the outdated stereotypes about the connection between what a woman wears and her morals." We'll be following her career closely.
