15 American Winter Olympians Better Than Lindsey Vonn

Lindsey Vonn might be one of the most attractive female Olympic athletes, but she has some serious competition from fellow Americans in her own sport!

The Pyeongchang Winter Olympics start February 9th with the opening ceremony and continues with 102 different events in 15 disciplines. As is always the case, the world's greatest athletes will be on display, making a name for themselves in sports that don't always get the year-round attention like basketball, football, or hockey. Beyond being a showcase for all-world athletics, the Olympics is one giant party with more hookups than a laundromat. Once an athlete is finished their event, there's nothing left to do but party, and what better place to party than the Athlete's Village with other world-class athletes both in terms of talent and looks.

The Winter Olympics might not be as enjoyable to watch as the Summer Olympics for the average sex-crazed male (tight-fitting spandex doesn't quite hold up against beach gear), but that doesn't mean the athletes are any less attractive; in fact, underneath it all, these American Olympians compare favorably to any Olympian in any sport. The women's hockey team might be the most exciting sport to watch, not only because there will be no NHL players competing on the men's side, but also because it's full of beautiful women. But it's far from the only sport worth watching.

15 Jamie Greubel Poser

A 34 year old native of Princetown, New Jersey, Jamie Greubel Poser is beautiful and talented. She won a bronze medal at the 2014 Sochi Olympics in two-woman bobsled along with Aja Evans and, in March of 2017, won an Olympic test event on the track being used in the Pyeongchang Games, setting both her an Evans up as the gold medal favorites heading into the Olympics. They also earned a bronze at the 2017 World Championships as well as multiple medals in World Cup events throughout the past decade.

14 Meghan Duggan

There really isn't an unattractive woman on the United States women's hockey team and they'll all be even hotter with gold medals wrapped around their necks as they attempt to win the tournament for the first time since the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, Japan. Meghan Duggan will be another one of the women who plays an instrumental role in the team achieving its goal; the 30 year old Massachusetts native was part of the team that won silver in Sochi and Vancouver and is seeking her first Olympic gold medal.

13 Ashley Wagner

Ashley Wagner didn't make the Olympic figure skating team, but she's got a body worthy of a gold medal and we're not about to take that away from our readers. All things considered, she probably should be on the Olympic team given she's a three-time national champion and helped the Americans win bronze at Sochi in the team discipline. We're not the only ones who believe she should be in Pyeongchang either.

Wagner finished fourth at the recent U.S. Figure Skating Championships and was said to be "furious" with the judges scoring. An injury (or a Tonya Harding scenario) could open the door for the 26 year old to compete in her second consecutive Olympic Games, but for now it appears the window is closing on her successful career. In the meantime, feel free to join the other 180,000 people following her on Instagram.

12 Aja Evans

The partner of Jamie Greubel Poser, Aja Evans can't be left off of this list. I mean, if we're going just off social media influence and popularity, Evans has over 3,000 more followers on Instagram than Poser, which indicates more people consider her their favorite bobsledder or more men think she's hotter - and I'm guessing it's the latter. Evans is five years younger than Poser and attended the University of Illinois, where she studied sports management.

11 Jamie Anderson

What is it about snowboarding that only attracts the hottest female athletes? Or is it by becoming a snowboarder that they really become hot in our eyes? The backwards hat, thick jacket, and goggles, for whatever reason, can be just as attractive as a beautiful woman playing beach volleyball. That's the case with 27 year old Jamie Anderson, who has already been recognized with a pair of ESPY Awards for Best Female Action Sports Athlete and Best Female U.S. Olympic Athlete. Anderson won gold at the slopestyle event in the 2014 Sochi Olympics and also has five Winter X Games gold medals.

10 Hilary Knight

Even if you're not a fan of hockey, you've probably heard of Hilary Knight or at least seen her. A couple years ago, Knight was one of the athletes featured in ESPN: The Body Issue, where she showcased her incredibly-toned body and six-pack abs in a photo shoot that saw her tightening her skate laces in the nude, among other poses (don't get too excited as everything was conveniently covered-up).

9 Mikaela Shiffrin

Snowboarders eat your heart out. Lindsey Vonn might be one of the most attractive female Olympic athletes, but she has some serious competition from a fellow American in her own sport - skiing. Mikaela Shiffrin is a 22 year old alpine ski racer from Vail, Colorado who won gold in the slalom at the 2014 Sochi Olympics as an 18 year old. Since then, she has won gold at the World Championships in 2015 and 2017 and appears poised to repeat as Olympic Champion in 2018.

Few women make curls look as hot as Lindsey Jacobellis. The 32 year old snowboarder from Danbury, Connecticut has been on our radar for quite some time after winning silver at the Turin Olympics in snowboard cross. She failed to reach the medal round at both the 2010 and 2014 Olympics, but led the semi-final run in the latter before crashing and finishing seventh overall. Despite that, she has continued to thrive at the Winter X Games, winning gold in snowboard cross in 10 of the past 15 years.

7 Katie Uhlaender

Whether it's bobsled, luge, or skeleton, the women who excel in those sports are often ridiculously hot even if they're not really all that physically attractive, ya know? There's just something about speeding down an icy death trap that makes someone seem that much more bad-ass and appealing. Katie Uhlaender doesn't need the leverage of being accomplished in luge to be a hot Olympian, but it certainly doesn't hurt.

6 Gracie Gold

Gracie Gold is another figure skater who should - and could - be competing in the upcoming Olympic Games. The two-time national champion and bronze medal winner in the team competition at the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games would have been a favorite in the Pyeongchang Games, but has struggled with some personal demons in recent years, including anxiety, depression, and an eating disorder. She appears to be doing well, but has stated that she hasn't had a proper training schedule to allow her to compete at her highest level.

5 Alexa Scimeca Knierim

A two-time medalist in pairs figure skating at the Four Continents Championships along with her husband Chris Knierim, Alexa Scimeca Knierim is a figure skater you're going to be wanting to see more of when she takes to the ice in Pyeongchang. The 26 year old native of Addison, Illinois qualified by winning gold with her husband at the U.S. Championships earlier in January. It was an emotional win for Alexa in particular as she underwent three abdominal surgeries the year prior.

4 Monique/Jocelyne Lamoureux

What's better than two for the price of one? These 28 year old twins from Minnesota are two of the most important players on the United States women's hockey team and have been for quite some time. They have been on the past two silver-medal winning teams and have been part of the national program since 2009. Can you imagine not only having a sibling on the same national team, but a twin sister? Competition must have been intense for the Lamoureux sisters growing up, especially since they had four older brothers.

3 Jessie Diggins

It's often the more extreme sports that seems to attract the attention of beautiful women, but Jessie Diggins is an outlier. The 26 year old Minnesota native is a cross country skier who placed eighth in the 15-kilometer event during the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. After winning a silver medal at the 2017 World Championships, she will be hoping to build upon that success and win her first ever Olympic medal in Pyeongchang.

2 Madison Hubbell

We previously mentioned Madison Chock as an ice dancer to follow during the Olympics, but she isn't even the hottest American ice dancer, let alone the one with the most momentum heading into the Games. That status belongs to Madison Hubbell, who, along with her partner Zachary Donohue, qualified for her first ever Olympics after scoring an upset victory at the U.S. National Championships in early January.

Madison Chock and Evan Bates will have some tough competition in the ice-dancing competition as they'll be up against the Canadian pair and defending Olympic champions Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, but their recent results suggest they could give the Canadians a challenge. They earned a bronze and silver medal respectively at the 2015 and 2016 World Championships and have multiple medals from the Four Continents Championships in recent years. They finished eighth at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, but will enter Pyeongchang as medal favorites.

Bates is the truly lucky one here as he has been dating Chock for a number of years. The Taiwanese-American is truly one of the most beautiful female athletes at the upcoming Games; in fact, her middle name of La'akea translates to "sacred light from heaven," which definitely holds up.
