Golfers vs Tennis Players: Who's More Attractive?

It’s no secret that professional sports features more than a few gorgeous female athletes. The training it takes to compete at a high level in virtually any sport requires one to stay in peak physical condition, which in turn leaves many of these women with impressive physiques. While every sport seems to have a few lovely ladies whose looks help them stand out, there are two sports in paticualr, that seem to have even more than the rest, golf and tennis.

When discussing gorgeous women in sports, for many, tennis is likely the first one that comes to mind. It’s not unusual to find females tennis players that are around (or and some cases over) 6-feet-tall. Their extraordinary height and lean frames often resemble that of a runway model. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue has certainly taken notice, as the magazine has featured tennis stars annually for the last several years.

Traditionally, pro golf isn’t a sport that one would expect to be loaded with beautiful women. However, in recent years, that has changed. In fact, there are several female golfers who are known as much for their good looks, as they are for their golf game. That being said, the influx of these good looking ladies has helped generate interest in the sport.

Fans know that both Tennis and Golf have their fair share of hotties.

However, now it’s time to decide which sport has the better-looking ladies, and it won’t be easy.

15 Tennis: Caroline Wozniacki

Caroline Wozniacki is one of the most beautiful athletes you’ll find in any sport. The Danish tennis star has been ranked number 1 in the world for her outstanding singles play on multiple occasions, despite having never won a Grand Slam tournament. Wozniacki has been able to win over $23 million in prize money over the course of her career, which puts her at 8th all-time on the list of top earning female tennis players.

The 5-foot-10 Dane has also done her fair share of modeling over the years. She has appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue for three consecutive years, modeled her own underwear line, and has even recently bared it all for ESPN’s The Body Issue. The 27-year-old has some impressive credentials, both on and off the court.

Elise Lobb, much like Paige Spiranac, is another player who was able to use social media to gain notoriety. Lobb is best known for being the co-host of Fox Sports' Swing Clinic. Moreover, the stunning blonde has her own online series known as “The Lobb Shot.”

After seeing this photo, it probably won’t surprise anyone to learn that Lobb is a former Miss Daytona Beach. In a recent interview with The Loop, she was asked if she ever dreamed of becoming an Instagram star. Lobb answered, “No! Do you mean I’m actually popular? It’s crazy how technology works and that people come up to me because they recognized me. It’s opened up a lot of opportunities for me, and my main thing is to grow the game of golf.” Fans should enjoy watching her grow the game for years to come.

13 Tennis: Maria Sharapova

Sports aside, one would be hard pressed to find more beautiful women than Russian born Maria Sharapova walking the face of the Earth. At 30 years of age, Sharapova has seen and done it all in the sports of professional tennis. She holds a career Grand Slam as singles player, meaning she has one all four major Grand Slam tournaments. She has been ranked number 1 in the world on five separate occasions and won over $36 million on the court.

Like many of the tennis stars on our list, Sharapova has also been featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The 6-foot-2 blonde has also been involved in numerous modeling and promotional shoots. Whenever a magazine has any sort of hot female athlete list, one can be sure to find Maria Sharapova on it.

12 Golf: Paula Creamer

Paula Creamer is one of the most accomplished golfers on our list. The Californian's accomplishments include; winning 10 LPGA tour events, being ranked as the number 2 female golfer in the world, and capturing the 2010 U.S. Women’s Open Championship. She was won almost $12 million over the course of her career, which puts her at number 9 on the LPGA career money list.

The 5-foot-9 golfer is clearly a natural beauty, though she is also a very talented golfer. While other females in the sport are using Instagram to make a name for themselves, Creamer has become a star the old-fashioned way, by simply being a good golfer. The 31-year-old is without question one of the most beautiful females competing in the sport.

At just 5-foot-3, Slovak tennis star Dominika Cibulkova is one of the shorter women you will see on the WTA tour. However, don’t let her size fool you; Cibulkova is a fierce combatant on the tennis court. The 28-year-old has been ranked as high as number 4 in the world, as recently as March of 2017. She has managed to take home just under $11 million in winnings thus far. Moreover, the tiny tennis player won the WTA Finals in 2016.

Cibulkova is extremely active on social media outlets and isn’t shy about posting provocative photos on Instagram. The image above is an excellent example of what those who follow her on the popular social media site are in store for. Dominika Cibulkova definitely knows how to market herself.

10 Golf: Cheyenne Woods

Phoenix, Arizona’s Cheyenne Woods is probably best known for being the niece of golfing legend Tiger Woods. In fact, Earl Woods, who is Tiger’s father, was her very first coach. Besides being the relative of the most famous golfer in the world, Cheyenne is also an accomplished golfer in her own right. In 2013 she became a member of Ladies European Tour and won the Volvik RACV Ladies Masters.

The 27-year-old is a competent pro golfer and also a very attractive woman. She stands at 5-foot-9 and clearly has movie star good looks. As Woods continues to improve, her name combined with her undeniable beauty could make her a big star in the sport. Cheyenne Woods will definitely be a name to watch in the coming years.

9 Tennis: Camila Giorgi

Italian-born Camila Giorgi is a tennis player who enjoys playing the role of spoiler. The 25-year old has never been ranked higher than 30 as a singles player and hasn’t been able to make it, to even the quarterfinal round of a Grand Slam tournament. That being said, she has more wins against top ten opponents than she does loses. Giorgi has some very impressive victorys on her resume. Maria Sharapova, Victoria Azarenka, and even Caroline Wozniacki have all suffered defeat at the hands of the Italian starlet.

At 5-foot-6 Giorgi is relatively short by pro tennis standards. However, she definitely isn’t short on beauty, as we can see from the photo pictured above. Camila Giorgi might just be the best thing to come out of Italy since pizza.

8 Golf: Kathleen Ekey

Kathleen Ekey originally hails from Cleveland, Ohio. She played college golf at Furman University, before transferring to the University of Alabama to finish out her collegiate career. The gorgeous golfer would go on to turn pro in 2009. Moreover, Ekey would be named the Futures Tour Player of the Year in 2011.

The 5-foot-7 University of Alabama alumni is one of professional golf’s elite beauties. However, she is definitely passionate about the sport. In a quote from Golf.com, Ekey stated, "I always knew I was going to play golf. I never had to sit down with myself and actually think about it. I've known for as long as I can remember that playing golf is what I wanted to do." She not only plays golf, but also looks pretty darn good doing it.

7 Tennis: Eugenie Bouchard

Canadian born Eugene “Genie” Bouchard is arguably the hottest women competing in the sport of professional tennis today. She rose to prominence back in 2014, a year when she was ranked as high as number 5 in the world as a singles player. 2014 also saw Bouchard advance to the final round at Wimbledon, while making it to the semifinal round at the US Open, French Open, and Australian Open as well.

The stunning 5-foot-10 blonde’s career was regressed a bit since 2014, as she is currently ranked (as of August 2017) 74th in the world as a singles competitor. However, with her marketable appearance and being featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Bouchard has managed to remain one of the most popular female players in the sport.

6 Golf: Paige Spiranac

Colorado’s Paige Spiranac is something of a controversial figure in the pro golf community. The controversy stems from the fact that the stunning blonde has been invited to play in LPGA tournaments due in large part to her popularity on the social media outlet, Instagram. Despite having never won a professional golf tournament, she has over 1.2 million followers on the social media site, who she’s been known to share proactive photos with from time to time. In 2017, the LPGA decided to implement a stricter dress code, a move Spiranac didn’t agree with.

The 24-year-old isn’t the greatest golfer in the world, and her looks have certainly helped her further her career. That being said, she has been able to get folks talking about women’s golf again, so that can definitely be viewed as a plus.

5 Tennis: Laura Robson

British tennis player Laura Robson has had a solid career since debuting back in 2008. She made history by becoming the first British woman since 1998 to advance to the 4th round of a Grand Slam tournament, a feat she accomplished at the 2012 US Open. At the 2012 Olympics, which took place in her city of residence London, England, Robson captured a silver medal in mixed doubles play with her partner Andy Murray.

At just 23 years of age, the 5-foot-11 brunette’s beauty is simply undeniable. She may be currently ranked at 178 in the singles standings, but when it comes to the hottest women in tennis, she is easily among the top 10. Robson isn’t one to post a ton of racy photos on social media, but she really doesn’t need to; it’s clear she’s a very attractive woman.

The native of Dusseldorf, who began playing when she was just 5 years old, turned pro back in 2007.Gal managed to finish 5th in the 2009 LPGA Corning Classic. Her career highlight came in 2011 when she won the Kia Classic in March of that year. She also represented her home country of Germany in 2016 Summer Olympics, which was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

At 6-feet-tall, with a lean athletic physique, one might mistake Gal for one of the tennis players featured in this article. However, the gorgeous German is definitely all about the LPGA. Moreover, when it comes to the hottest gals in golf, Sandra Gal is defiantly not sub par.

After a storied career, Slovic tennis star Daniela Hantuchova decided to call it quits last July. The mixed doubles specialist was able to become a career Grand Slam winner, teaming with a variety of male partners. The 34-year-old was ranked as high as number 5 in the world in as both a singles and doubles competitor. She also managed to win $10,360,596 over the course of her roughly 17-year-long career.

The 5-foot-11 retired tennis beauty is one of the hottest females to ever set up on a professional tennis court. The slender superstar is among the exclusive list of tennis champs who have posed for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. There was no shortage of tennis fans who were devastated when they found out Hantuchova wouldn’t wouldn't be appearing on the court any longer.

2 Golf: Michelle Wie

Honolulu, Hawaii's Micelle Wie is one of the biggest names in the sport of women’s golf. At just 10 years old, Wie qualified for the USGA amateur championship, becoming the youngest player to do so. She is one of the few female golfers to have participated in men’s PGA tournaments as well as women's. In 2014 she captured her first major title at the U.S. Women’s Open.

It feels like Michelle Wie has been in the news for decades, due in large part to the success she achieved at such a young age. In truth, Michele Wie is still only 27 years of age. Moreover, the 6-foot-tall Hawaiian is hands down one of the best-looking females in the game today. No list of hot golfers would be complete without Michelle Wie.

Trying to determine who the most attractive tennis player on our list, would certainly generate a great deal of debate. However, determining who the best tennis player on the list is, would not. That’s because 23-time Grand Slam singles winner Serena Williams is clearly the best of the bunch. To put it in perspective, she has won more Grand Slams then all the other women on our list combined. The future Hall of Famer took the 2017 season off to give birth to her first child.

In 2017, Serena Williams made her third appearance in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Her impressive muscular physique is somewhat unique in the world of pro tennis, but it definitely proves the cliché that strong is the new sexy.
