According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, current RAW General Manager Kurt Angle may be set to face off against Triple H in the near future. Up to this point, there has been no word regarding when this highly anticipated bout will take place, or how the WWE will go about booking the storyline towards the match. However, there is a possibility that this potential match-up may somehow tie into the current storyline with Kurt Angle and Corey Graves.
Fans have been very curious about the mysterious RAW segment which aired on May 29th revolving around Corey Graves, Kurt Angle, a cell phone and some information which is believed to have been "scandalous" and "concerning". The culprit most fans are expecting the messenger to be is Stephanie McMahon who has been out of action following her crash through a table at WrestleMania 33.
In reality, Stephanie McMahon has been on a vacation with her family following WrestleMania and has since returned to work this week, while the WWE is seemingly scrambling to find a suitable storyline to reintroduce Stephanie on-screen. Many fans believe Stephanie's intention upon her arrival is to immediately fire Kurt from his GM role. At this point, we will have to wait and see how the WWE goes about booking this storyline and how Triple H becomes intertwined into it.
If the rumors regarding an upcoming bout between Kurt Angle and Triple H are true, fans will have an exciting match to look forward to. Although many believe that this huge showdown will take place at WrestleMania 34 next year, there is a possibility that the match could take place as early as SummerSlam this year.
Perhaps we will get two matches between the Superstars with one of them taking place at SummerSlam, and the finale at "The Showcase Of The Immortals" next year. Regardless of when this bout takes place, expect this feud to be one of the WWE's first steps in reinventing their stale product in an effort to regain fan interest and viewership.
Just the rumors regarding the possibility of a clash between the two legends have already got the WWE Universe into a buzz, so it only makes sense that the company will capitalize off the buzz and move ahead with this promising feud.
