Former WWE superstar Bray Wyatt (real name Windham Rotunda) was released from his WWE contract July 31, but it won't be long until he's eligible to sign with another promotion.

On Wednesday evening, Wyatt sent out a mysterious tweet that read "2 more days". His 90-day non-compete will expire this Friday, leaving him free to sign with another promotion.

Impact Wrestling reportedly tried to bring in a trio of former WWE superstars for last Saturday's Bound for Glory pay-per-view: Wyatt, Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed. Of course, the 34-year-old Wyatt was ineligible to show up because his non-compete clause has yet to expire.

Many expected Strowman (released from WWE on June 2) to show up at Bound for Glory. He was seen meeting with Impact Wrestling Executive Vice President Scott D'Amore leading up to the event, but a deal apparently hasn't been reached. Strowman will perform as "The Titan" going forward, and he's scheduled to wrestle at the "Blizzard Brawl" in Waukesha, Wisconsin on Dec. 4.

Wyatt's final WWE appearance took place on the Apr. 12 episode of Monday Night Raw, when he stated he was seeking a fresh start during a "Firefly Fun House" segment.

Aew Is Wyatt's Best Option

Wyatt hasn't dropped any hints in regards to where he might land. Impact Wrestling was reported to be the likely landing spot for him, but it's unclear if anything will happen there.

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan recently stated that he's "interested" in speaking to Wyatt. AEW has signed a plethora of former WWE stars since opening their doors in Jan. 2019, so it obviously wouldn't be the least bit surprising if they brought in the former Universal Champion. Not to mention that the company has done very well with former WWE talents who were greatly underused there (Malakai Black, Miro, Ruby Soho, Cody Rhodes, among others ).
