The long awaited and hyped up HBO Andre the Giant documentary premiered on Thursday in Los Angeles, and a great deal of WWE superstars, legends and other employees attended the event.

To the surprise of nobody, Vince McMahon, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were there to see the video that documented the life of the wrestling giant. But the premiere also included a name of other major superstars from the past and present.

This included former World Champion Mark Henry (who will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next week), Big Show (who is probably the man who resembled Andre's size and wrestling skills like no other superstar in history), Rey Mysterio and Hulk Hogan - who was fired by the WWE in 2015.

Hogan and Andre the Giant had a close friendship despite their long on-screen rivalry. The two helped Vince build up the WWF into a popular brand worldwide, and their match at WrestleMania III is among the most historic and iconic moments in the history of professional wrestling.

Stephanie also had a close relationship with Andre the Giant, and even told ESPN First Take that she thinks he's the greatest wrestler of all-time. On top of that, she credits Andre with making her a better "leader."

The 7-foot-4, 500-pound giant joined the WWF in 1973, and he spent over a decade dismantling his opponents. But what made Andre so lovable was his kind and gentle personality outside of the ring, and he instantly became a worldwide attraction for it.

Sadly, he passed away at age 46 from heart failure in 1993. He became the first WWE Hall of Fame inductee that same year. With the epic documentary completed by HBO, the fans who never got to grow up watching Andre the Giant will now get the chance to understand just how much he changed the wrestling world.
