We didn't know it at the time, but at this point we all know that Manny Pacquiao hurt his shoulder a few weeks before his "fight of the century" against Floyd Mayweather. When it happened, his coach, hall of famer Freddie Roach wanted to postpone the fight, but other members of the team and Manny himself talked him out of it.
So, the fight went on as scheduled, but when the shoulder started to hurt during the fight, Roach recently admitted that he just ran out of advice for his fighter.
Roach told the LA Times "When he came back to the corner, he said he was in a lot of pain." Basically, Roach gave him the same advice you would give a young kid playing T-ball, "so at that point, there wasn't a lot I could say other than to just go out there and do your best."
