Admit it. A whole lot of you guys wouldn't have been avid tennis fans if it weren't for the attractive females almost always on display. And while we are at it, there's probably a bit of fessing up to do when it comes to you being here in the first place. I'm by no means throwing shade or blame, as I'm quite guilty of the same (not the latter bit, seeing I wrote the whole thing) and do search the internet for steamy photos every now and again.

Tennis, though, is really quite something. And I'd still pay some attention if it were dominated by male athletes. But luckily, it's not which makes it doubly pleasing - especially aesthetically. We have come to know several female stars, who are as skilled as they are bewitching. And for some reason, they seem to always find the most interesting outfits when it's time to play.

That's not all there is to it, however. There's almost always something to be said for their off-court attire, and sometimes it's pretty difficult to tell which is more attractive.

Below are pictures of 10 such players, in both on-court and off-court wear. Check them out and then decide which looks better for yourself.

20 Caroline Wozniacki: On-Court

Caroline Wozniacki is actually the one who replaced the above Maria Kirilenko as the Stella McCartney Adidas rep in 2009. The temptress of a Dane is the proud winner of 28 WTA titles, and won her first Grand Slam this year, defeating Simona Halep in the final of the 2018 Australian Open at the end of January.

She had been to two finals prior to that, losing to Kim Clijsters in 2009 and then Serena Williams in 2014. She did, however, beat Venus Williams to claim her first WTA Finals win last year.

Caroline was likely just posing for a shoot in this photo, as she's wearing a watch, but the outfit is very wearable for tennis and she just may have really played in it. Whether she did or didn't is of little importance, though, as it really is a stunning image of the 27-year-old star.

19 Caroline Wozniacki: Off-Court

Caroline is even more attractive when she steps off the tennis court. And that is a huge ask, given how good she could look when clothed in sports gear.

It really leaves you to wonder just what the heck Rory Mcllroy was thinking. The golfer hooked up with Caroline in 2011 and the pair got engaged in January of 2014. But he decided to end things just four months later, chickening out of the wedding after invitations had already been sent.

Former NBA star David Lee caught her on the rebound, though. They supposedly began dating sometime before 2017 and got engaged last November. I reckon she'll keep the guy this time.

18 Serena Williams: On-Court

Those of you who saw Serena Williams in action while wearing this will likely never forget it. It's probably the hottest tennis outfit to ever be displayed in a match. And if it isn't, the fact that Serena was inside made it so.

The 36-year-old, who spent over a year on the sidelines due to pregnancy and childbirth, actually returned to competitive action on International Women's Day this month, making the comeback even more special. Squaring off against Kazakh Zarina Diyas, an opponent 12 years younger, in the Paribas Open in Indian Wells, she emerged victorious with a 7-5 6-3 scoreline.

“There have been so many days, even still, when I’m like, ‘How am I going to keep going?’ It’s been really, really difficult," she said before facing Kazakh. “But I keep going and I know that I might not be at my best yet. As long as I’m moving forward, even if it’s at a turtle’s pace, then I’m definitely OK with that.”

17 Serena Williams: Off-Court

The first outfit was so great, I'd completely forgotten that I hadn't gotten to the off-court bit as yet. This one, though, is markedly better, although I'm certain a whole lot of you would disagree.

The American tennis star, winner of 39 Grand Slam titles and world No.1 on eight occasions, returned to the court on March 8, as mentioned earlier, so we're likely to see many more captivating outfits. But there's always something to be had off the court, even if it's a restroom selfie (or belfie, because her amazing booty is in it apparently).

Serena posted this steamy snap to Instagram back in 2015, with the caption: "Look back at it." Of course, we don't need instructions - it would be insanely difficult not to!

Then again, she may have been talking to herself.

16 Venus Williams: On-Court

Venus Williams was always going to be next. And although she isn't as thick and curvaceous as her younger sibling, she still has quite the alluring body and knows how to rock an outfit.

The one seen above is actually part of her own line of clothing called EleVen, which she started up in 2007 along with retailer Steve & Barry's. "I love fashion and the idea that I am using my design education to actually create clothing and footwear that I will wear on and off the tennis court is a dream come true for me," she declared upon announcing her new venture back then.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion doesn't have that much of an edge over Serena in personal competition, yet she is unbeaten in doubles when paired up with her.

"She's got power, depth. She knows how to play," Venus said of her sister's return after partnering her in a warmup ahead of her first match back. "Yeah, awesome game."

15 Venus Williams: Off-Court

As mentioned before, Venus does have a really great body, albeit not as renowned as her sister's. She's quite fond of workout attire as well, and there's almost always a photo in which she's wearing one to be found.

The 37-year-old star has been accused of appearing too masculine quite often in her career, yet that's a very harsh assessment as she has a very attractive figure, which you can see above. "I always thought of it like, "What can my body do for me?" and not, "How do I look?" she says. I've always been happy with my body.

"Of course, I want to look well and fit - and as an athlete, I want to look strong. I want my opponents to look at me across the net and just not want to play me because I look so fit and amazing and strong. So that's always my goal."

14 Maria Sharapova: On-Court

The beautiful Maria Sharapova is one of the most exciting female talents we've ever come across. Ranked No.1 in the world five times, Maria is the first Russian to ever achieve a career Grand Slam, as well as one of 10 women.

She's won five major championships in her career but has since dropped to No.41 in the world rankings. The 30-year-old was quite disappointed to lose to Japanese No.1 Naomi Osaka in the first round of the Indian Wells on March 7 and even fired her coach.

"I wanted to do well here and not just because I won this event a couple times," she lamented. "I would have loved to stay longer it is just not going to happen this year."

The outfit up top, though, is really a sight for sore eyes, and she would have probably had better luck wearing something similar for her match against Naomi.

13 Maria Sharapova: Off-Court

From the beginning of her career, Maria Sharapova has been a master of growing her brand. Despite not being the most accomplished tennis player, compared to say, Serena Williams, Sharapova has done a ton of modeling shoots and other business ventures to keep herself at center stage. Why does she keep getting so many gigs? Well, just look at her. A year ago, the talented athlete revealed the secret behind her success as it relates to keeping a great bod.

“Our bodies get used to something when we do it consistently, so I think the biggest gift that I can give to my body is always making it guess,” she explained. “It’s really about mixing it up and doing different things."

May it long continue...

12 Ana Ivanovic: On-Court

Ana Ivanovic isn't playing anymore, which is rather unfortunate. But she has left us with some very good memories. The 30-year-old Serbian called it quits in December of 2016, claiming that she wasn't able to keep playing at a high standard, having won one Grand Slam title after conquering all who came before her in the 2008 French Open.

"There is no other way to say it, I've decided to retire from professional tennis," she announced. "It has been a difficult decision but there is so much to celebrate."

Ana is now married to German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger (not Branislav Ivanovic), who plays for the Chicago Fire in the MLS after a brilliant career at Bayern Munich and an underwhelming spell at Manchester United. The couple are expecting their first child sometime this year.

11 Ana Ivanovic: Off-Court

Well, you don't land a former Germany international by looking mediocre, and Ana certainly isn't that. In fact, she's probably the epitome of 'beauty and brains'. Apart from her obvious athletic ability, the former tennis star studies finance and is a UNICEF National Ambassador for her country Serbia. She is also understood to have a keen interest in education and child protection.

So she's quite the complete woman, right? Athletic, attractive and smart. What more could a man ask for? Just look at her!

We can't give you a body shot, unfortunately, yet the above does do enough justice as Ana has an amazingly beautiful face, wonderful hair, and of course, great skin. According to her, Shiseido WetForce is what keeps her skin looking as fine as it does.

10 Anna Kournikova: On-Court

Like Ana Ivanovic, Anna Kournikova is also retired and also extremely beautiful. The 36-year old Russian, formerly a world No.8, never won a singles title. However, she did rank world No.1 in doubles competition and won four titles playing alongside good friend Martina Hingis.

Anna's tennis career ended very early. She was already out of the game by age 21 after having suffered a herniated disk, as well as other back problems. So it's pretty safe to assume that she would have gone on to reach the heights had she not fallen victim to the aforementioned.

She was able to excel on other fronts, though, receiving multiple endorsements through the years. She also appeared as a celebrity trainer for a season of NBC's The Biggest Loser in 2012.

9 Anna Kournikova: Off-Court

Anna Kournikova's career was killed way too early and she could have gone on to achieve more success. But there are some who reckon her looks were more responsible for her popularity than anything else.

The Russian was the internet's most searched athlete for many years. And she has appeared in multiple publications such as the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, Maxim and FHM. She was branded one of FHM's 50 Most Beautiful People in 2008 and four years later was named in the magazine's 100 Sexiest Women in the World.

It's really no wonder, and you can see exactly why in the pic above, as well as the one that precedes it. In fact, Anna was so popular - years after retiring - a computer virus was able to infiltrate computers worldwide just because it bore her name.

8 Eugenie Bouchard: On-Court

Normally, you wouldn't see a tennis player on the court with yoga pants but with the way Eugenie Bouchard looks in them, we're starting to think that maybe the WTA should just allow their players to play in them if they see fit. Bouchard always turns heads when she's on the court, no matter what she's wearing. She's obviously been able to build quite a name for herself despite not being very successful in major tournaments recently, but she's set herself up for life post-tennis, as sponsors will still be lining up to sign her and have her promote their products. Bouchard has already landed some sponsorship deals for yoga pants, as she showed off Nike's 'Zoned Sculpt Tights' and said to her Instagram followers: these will"make your ? look ???."

7 Eugenie Bouchard: Off-Court

If you haven't had the chance to take a look at Eugenie Bouchard's Sports Illustrated swimsuit photos of this year, we highly suggest you check them out (after reading through the rest of the list of course). It's no surprise the magazine opted to have Bouchard pose for them again, despite her not having a banner year in tennis. She simply looks like she was born to be a model, but also happens to be a talented tennis player. We have no doubt this won't be the last time Bouchard will be featured in the magazine, as she simply blew everybody away with her photoshoot this year, and she had some pretty stiff competition! She's definitely the best export out of Canada in quite some time.

6 Maria Kirilenko: On-Court

Maria Kirilenko's body is no joke. The 31-year-old blonde-haired beauty, who hails from Russia has looks to die for, and always provides quite the spectacle for viewers. Maria has been to three Grand Slam singles quarter-finals and two finals on the doubles stage but has been unfortunate not to win any so far.

She did, however, conquer the WTA Tour in 2005 and the WTA Tour Championships in 2010, also winning bronze at the 2012 Olympics. Her highest rank has been at No.10, a milestone she reached eight years ago.

In the pic above, there's quite the fierce look on her face as she presumably awaits an oncoming ball. But there's so much more going on that really needs no explanation.

5 Maria Kirilenko: Off-Court

Maria's great looks did pay off as she was selected as the face of the Adidas Stella McCartney range in 2006. She appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition three years later.

The Russian star is apparently quite fond of the U.S troops. And it was revealed that she once sent panties sprayed with Calvin Klein's Obsession to troops serving in Afghanistan to lift the mood around the camp after making contact over a certain social media platform.

Said revelation was made by Medal of Honor winner Clinton Romesha, who told the racy tale in his best selling book Red Platoon: A True Story of American Valor. She won't be getting troops excited anymore, though - at least not by sending lingerie - as she married in 2015 and gave birth to a baby boy later that year.

4 Mandy Minella: On-Court

Mandy Minella is a 32-year-old player who was born in Luxembourg. Winner of two WTA Tour doubles titles and five ITA doubles titles, Mandy has had to deal with a lot of injuries throughout her career.

She does look oh so tempting in the image above, and it makes you wonder what was going through her mind when the pic was taken, given the provocative look on her face. Last year, Mandy found out she was pregnant. She admitted that it all came as a surprise, but was able to continue playing after being given the green light by her doctors.

"I was playing well, but I had the privilege of being pregnant so that was more important than anything," she said this month, having returned to the court just 99 days after giving birth.

"I presumed I would have to stop playing immediately but I spoke to many doctors and they said it was fine. I continued to play sport throughout my pregnancy and I felt really good. Playing was good for my body, the birth, and my recovery afterwards."

3 Mandy Minella: Off-Court

Mandy is a mommy now, but I don't imagine her being unable to regain her figure. In fact, she doesn't look very far off and has already returned to playing, as mentioned before. She does admit that she has a lot of ground to make up after giving birth to baby daughter Emma Lina, though.

"The feeling of the ball was not there at all," she said during an interview in March. "My muscles were not reacting and my whole core was gone. It felt as though no muscles or nerves were reacting in my hand or my arm."

But Mandy also added that she's well on the mend after immersing herself in the game again. "My body improved quite quick," she continued. "My muscles remembered what they needed to do and it started to get better."

2 Dominika Cibulkova: On-Court

Dominika Cibulkova's on-court pic is probably more attractive than the upcoming one. But, of course, that isn't the case in general. The 28-year-old, who hails from Slovakia, is the first female from her country to reach the championship stage of a Grand Slam tournament, albeit never winning one. There is still time, however.

Dominika (Can I call you Dom? Thanks.); so Dom has achieved a measure of success on the court, winning the WTA Final on her debut and becoming the fourth player to claim the accolade on her first attempt. Only Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova and Petra Kvitova have done so.

She also reached the final of the Australian Open four years ago, but could not overcome Li Na after getting there. Back to the pic, though, Dom looks quite amazing in her tight, orange shorts, showing off her thick legs and ample curves.

1 Dominika Cibulkova: Off-Court

Dominika Cibulkova is very underrated in the looks department and it's likely because she doesn't glam herself up when she's on the court playing. When she's there, it's all business. However, when she's not on the court, Cibulkova is a fashionista and goes above and beyond to wow people with her outfit choices. Well, mission accomplished here.

She's no stranger to showing off her body with some provocative clothing, though, having posed topless for Dunlop and gotten the bikini out for FHM.

Her Instagram page is definitely worth a follow, because you can see the fashionista side to Cibulkova, rather than the intense athlete you see on the court.

If we've learned anything from this list, it's that these tennis players can look great under several different circumstances.
