They say fatherhood changes a man. There once was a time you idolized the bachelor lives of professional athletes filled with partying, lounging on private yachts, and having an abundance of woman at your disposal. Okay you still do. But one thing’s for sure; if you have a daughter you sure as hell don’t want any of these pro athletes anywhere near her.

While most men would be thrilled at the idea of their daughters dating, and eventually marrying a professional athlete, whether it be due to financial security or the chance to score free tickets, there are certain exceptions. If a father sees his daughter bringing someone like Russell Wilson, Steph Curry or Jonathan Toews home, chances are he's going to be thrilled. They're admirable as athletes and upstanding citizens away from their sport. Certain athletes that one would admire on the field though may not be who fathers want with their daughters.

Fame, success, and money are often a lot to handle when the rise to the top comes so quickly for a lot of young athletes, and in the process great athletes do things that aren’t great for their reputations (or criminal records). Whether they’ve been known to cheat on their spouses, are notorious playboys, or have found themselves in serious trouble with the law, these are 15 athletes you would not want dating your daughter.

15 15. Derek Jeter

While he was the heart and soul of the New York Yankees for the last two decades, often overshadowing Derek Jeter’s accomplishments and stats is the long list of beautiful women he dated. Whether serious relationships or casual flings Jeter has been linked to some of Hollywood’s hottest. From Mariah Carey to Scarlett Johansson, to arguably the hottest Victoria’s Secret model of all time Adriana Lima and of course “the Jessicas”, Jessica Biel (pre-Justin Timberlake) and Jessica Alba. Most of us would trade lives with Jeter in a heartbeat, but there’s no way you want this playboy going anywhere near your daughter.

14 14. Alex Rodriguez

One would imagine Alex Rodriguez is a little disappointed to be left out of the 2015 All-Star Game, but I wouldn’t go feeling too bad for the guy. Like Jeter, Rodriguez has been known to be a bit of a womanizer and he too has a taste for Hollywood’s leading ladies having dated Madonna, Kate Hudson, Sofia Vergara, and of course Cameron Diaz. Whether you want to believe the picture often painted by the tabloids of A-Rod’s alleged penchant for three-way sexual trysts with prostitutes, one scarlet letter that will forever be affixed to Rodriguez is of course “S” for “steroids”.

13 13. Tiger Woods

How can anyone forget the Thanksgiving night Tiger Woods’ beautiful wife chased him out of their house with a golf club after learning he’d been unfaithful? Between a long list of mistresses and a visit to rehab for sex addiction Woods seemingly went from being a happily married family man to a prostitute-addicted womanizer overnight. In fact the cheating didn't stop with Elin, as the Dailymail reported in May that Tiger's recent split with Lindsey Vonn was due to Tiger being unfaithful again.

12 12. Dennis Rodman

There’s no way to step around this one; Dennis Rodman is a weird dude. No stranger to controversy the guy is best known for his bromance with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, dressing in drag, and somehow hooking up with (and marrying) Carmen Electra. Add to that a handful of kids, a few failed marriages, rehab, DUIs, and multiple incidents of domestic violence and you almost forget the guy even played basketball.

11 11. Shawn Kemp

Not familiar with Shawn Kemp? A bit of a throw back with this one. Kemp played 14 seasons with the NBA, was a six-time NBA All-Star and a three-time All-NBA Second Team member. He enjoyed his best years playing for the Seattle SuperSonics before his career declined in Cleveland. More impressive than those career numbers, by the age of 28 Kemp had fathered at least seven children by six different women. Enough said.

10 10. Semyon Varlamov

Back in 2013 Colorado Avalanche’s goalie Semyon Varlamov was making a name for himself, for all the wrong reasons. Varlamov was arrested on suspicion of felony kidnapping and assault. Although charges were later dropped due to a lack of evidence his girlfriend’s account of the attack including him allegedly telling her “if this were Russia, he would have beat her more" is enough for us to err on the side of caution.

9 9. Travis Henry

Another numbers game; Henry has at least 11 different children by 10 different women and pays over $170,000 per year in child support. That is, he’s supposed to pay $170,000 per year in child support. The former NFL running back’s legal troubles include failing to make child support payments, but don’t feel sorry for the guy thinking he’s broke. Henry was arrested after allegedly being involved in a multi-kilogram cocaine transaction and has been portrayed by court documents as the “ruthless 'money guy' in a cocaine trafficking ring".

8 8. Calvin Murphy

Starting to see a pattern here? The shortest NBA player inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame is confirmed to have fathered 14 children by nine different women. And, although he was later acquitted and charges were dropped, the Houston icon was charged with sexually molesting five of his daughters. The fact that Murphy was arrested and charged with sexual abuse and indecency not long after raises a few questions.

7 7. Antonio Cromartie

Like Travis Henry, this footballer has a problem making child support payments. In 2010 the Jets had enough faith in Cromartie that they slid him a $500,000 advance so he could make outstanding payments. $500,000 is a lot of money, but when you figure he had to spread that out among the 12 children he has fathered with eight different women that loan probably slipped right through his fingers. The Jets brought Cromartie back this year and you wonder if any similar advances were made.

6 6. Ben Roethlisberger

While rape allegations ultimately went unproven and sexual assault investigations were never resolved, watching him succeed just reminds us that we'll never know. Accusations of sexual assault are serious business and clearly there was some truth behind the headlines as Roethlisberger was suspended without pay for the first six games of the 2010 season due to a violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy. But of course because athletes and celebrities seem to be exempt from the law the suspension was subsequently reduced to four games.

5 5. Jonathan Dwyer

Jonathan Dwyer is a running back for the Arizona Cardinals, but is better known for (or at least should be) being charged with two cases of assault against his wife and then 18-month-old son. With his legal situation now cleared up rumor has it Dwyer wants to return to the Cardinals, but the team is not interested in bringing Dwyer back. Don’t blame them. Can’t blame them for wanting to distance themselves from someone who allegedly threw a shoe at an 18-month-old.

4 4. Michael Vick

There’s not much to say about Vick aside from the fact that he’s scum. Vick’s antics include theft, drug possession and distribution, flipping off fans, according to one woman, knowingly infecting her with genital herpes. In 2007 the NFL suspended Vick indefinitely without pay for violating its player conduct policy after he plead guilty to direct involvement in dog fighting, high-stakes gambling, and brutal executions of dogs. Over seventy dogs were seized from “Bad Newz Kennels”, and Vick was sent to prison losing millions of dollars in endorsements before the jail cell had even closed.

3 3. Darren Sharper

A former NFL safety with 14 seasons under his belt, Darren Sharper was a five-time Pro Bowl selection with a bright future ahead of himself even in retirement going on to work for the NFL Network. All that until Sharper was arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault in California, Louisiana, Arizona, and Nevada, and pled guilty to rape charges involving nine women. When this loser is eventually released from prison he will spend the rest of his life under strict probation.

2 2. Aaron Hernandez

Hernandez’s trouble with the law started at a young age and didn’t end there. Not only does he make the list for athletes you wouldn’t want your daughter to date, but he’s someone it’s safe to say you wouldn’t want anywhere near your family (or if you ask the Patriots who lost millions due to his arrest and subsequent termination, your team). On April 15, 2015 the 25-year-old former tight end was found guilty of murder in the first-degree and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

1 1. Wilt Chamberlain

There are many reasons an athlete could make this list, and there is not questioning why Wilt Chamberlain wears the crown. The first big earner of basketball, Chamberlain was the first player to earn more than $100,000 a year. Considered one of the greatest and most dominant players in NBA history, Chamberlain lived alone in a multi-million dollar mansion, but was far from lonely. He was a lifelong bachelor, and became notorious for his claim to have had sexual intercourse with over 20,000 women. That’s right 20,000 women. As his lawyer Seymour "Sy" Goldberg put it: "Some people collect stamps, Wilt collected women." Yes this list would not be complete without the King Womanizer himself, Wilt Chamberlain.
