Top 20 Worst Major Sports Cities in North America

In North America, there are four major league professional sports that get the most attention. The four major league professional sports are the NFL, NBA, MLB and the NHL. Most big cities have at least one or more major league professional sport franchises. A handful of cities have all four major league professional sport teams. Cities such as Boston and Pittsburgh have experienced great success with their sport teams as the teams have won championships consistently. Other cities such as Seattle have such started to taste success as the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks have been in the Super Bowl the last two seasons and won the Super Bowl last year.

However, there are cities that haven’t see their teams have great success and the outlook for any championship level team is grim. Cities like New York and Philadelphia and have seen their teams win championships but it was such a long time ago and the current teams aren't doing well either. Some cities like Buffalo and Charlotte have yet to see their professional sport teams win a single championship.

While Charlotte and Buffalo stand out among the worst sport cities there are cities that have fared worse than those two cities. A list was created of the 20 worst sport cities in North America. The list features cities that have one or more major league professional sport franchises and it ranks the cities by those that have some of the longest active championship drought.

This is in no way a knock on he fan bases. The list is ranked by the city's recent success in terms of championships. This will take into account the big four pro leagues in North America only, (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL). Listed below with an explanation are the top 20 worst sport cities in North America.
