In the 2000s fans witnessed the rise of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, the Manning brothers winning Super Bowls, and a pair of championships for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Baltimore Ravens and the New York Giants collided in one of the worst Super Bowls of all time. Neither team was a favorite going into the playoffs, and the game was tilted to one side from start to finish. The Ravens' defense was flawless, and the offense, which was nothing extraordinary, took advantage of the Giants' line weaknesses, so it was a fairly easy win for Baltimore. Giants quarterback Kerry Collins had a 7.1 rating, one of the worst ever seen in the history of the sport. The MVP of the game was linebacker Ray Lewis, as he put on a defensive clinic.

9 Super Bowl XXXVII: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 48 - Oakland Raiders, 21

The high score made this game quite entertaining, but this game lacked drama, it lacked big moments, and frankly, it lacked that big game feeling. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers knew Bill Callahan's tactics to perfection thanks to Jon Gruden. The Buccaneers were always one step ahead of the Raiders, anticipating plays, and taking a lead as large as 31 points at one point. By halftime, the Buccaneers were already celebrating their victory.

8 Super Bowl XLI: Indianapolis Colts, 29 - Chicago Bears, 17

This was a pretty lackluster Super Bowl, which many fans tend to forget. The game got off to an amazing start with Devin Hester's opening kickoff touchdown, but then the game was pretty basic. Peyton Manning was the MVP, despite having a mediocre performance by his standards, throwing for 247 yards, with one touchdown pass, one interception and a passer rating of 81.8. Adam Vinatieri was crucial, as usual, with three field goals made.

There's nothing really memorable about the big game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks, although that doesn't mean this was a bad game. Both teams' defenses were solid, with some great performances from players like Deshea Townsend and LeRoy Hill.

But you also have to admit that there were a lot of offensive inaccuracies, and the quarterbacks did not have a good night, as Ben Roethlisberger and Matt Hasselbeck had passer ratings of 22.6 and 67.8 respectively. A 75-yard touchdown run by Willie Parker was the game-changing factor here.

6 Super Bowl XXXIX: New England Patriots, 24 - Philadelphia Eagles, 21

This was a very exciting game, with back-and-forth action from start to finish. The Patriots and Eagles went into the second half tied 7-7, and then entered the final quarter tied 14-14, which shows how even the game was. Corey Dillon and Adam Vinatieri made sure to give the Pats a 10-point lead early in the final quarter, Philadelphia struck back and cut the deficit, but it wasn't enough. Tom Brady had an excellent performance, but this time the MVP was Deion Branch, who recorded 11 receptions for 133 yards.

5 Super Bowl XXXIV: St. Louis Rams, 23 - Tennessee Titans, 16

This was an excellent game, with a somewhat drab first half, but an electrifying second half. The St. Louis Rams took a 16-0 lead, looking comfortable through the third quarter thanks to exceptional teamwork, but suddenly, the Tennessee Titans gained momentum and managed to tie the game with two minutes remaining. That's when Kurt Warner threw a 73-yard touchdown pass to Isaac Bruce, which would make the difference.

The New England Patriots entered the final quarter of the game with a 17-3 lead, but Kurt Warner and the St. Louis Rams did not let their heads drop and managed to tie the game in epic fashion. The Pats were stunned and still couldn't take in the Rams' reaction, but in the final seconds of the game Adam Vinatieri was the hero with a game-winning 48-yard field goal. This was the first Super Bowl victory for the New England Patriots, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.

3 Super Bowl XXXVIII: New England Patriots, 32 - Carolina Panthers, 29

This game was a roller coaster of emotions. In the first quarter neither team could score, with excellent defensive work and little offensive precision. But in the final four minutes of the second quarter, they scored 24 points between the two teams.

In the third quarter the scoreboard did not move, as the defense prevailed again, but the fourth quarter was an exchange of touchdowns, points here and there, it was absolutely exciting. The score was tied 29-29 with five seconds left, when Adam Vinatieri kicked an unforgettable 41-yard field goal, and the New England Patriots clinched their second Super Bowl victory.

2 Super Bowl XLIII: Pittsburgh Steelers, 27 - Arizona Cardinals, 23

This was an unforgettable game not only for the fans of the teams involved, but for football lovers in general. This game was extremely exciting, filled with several incredible moments, such as James Harrison's 100-yard pick-six, Kurt Warner's admirable performance, delivering three touchdown passes and, of course, Ben Roethlisberger's game-winning drive, ending with Santonio Holmes' spectacular touchdown catch. The last quarter was mind-blowing, both teams deserved to win, but it was the Pittsburgh Steelers who wrote their names in the history books.

The New England Patriots were just 35 seconds away from becoming the first team in history with a 19-0 record in an NFL season. However, Eli Manning activated clutch mode and threw a touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress to give the New York Giants the lead for good, obviously an honorable mention must go to David Tyree's iconic helmet catch. It was an extremely even game, in which the Giants' amazing defense was a major factor, sacking Tom Brady five times and nullifying him in the red zone. This showed that any play can change a game.
