Triple H is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. However, Triple H's 30-year wrestling career came to a halt in March 2022 as a result of health issues. Triple H opened up night two of WrestleMania 38, and he left his wrestling boots in the ring to signal his retirement from the squared circle. Moreover, Triple H has had his fair share of injuries throughout his career, and he had spent some time on the sidelines. Nevertheless, it's always great to see Triple H return whether in a wrestling or an authority figure capacity.

The 14-time WWE World Champion's returns have been important as they have set up a marquee match, or a longstanding program. Whilst, Triple H has ridden into the sunset, it will be interesting to see when The Game will show up on WWE television again.

Triple H's tussle with The Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania 28 was one for the ages. A month later, Triple H returned on the April 30, 2012 edition of Raw. The Game refused to give into Brock Lesnar's contract demands with John Laurinaitis willing to listen to Lesnar's pleas.

Triple H and Laurinaitis disagreed and the Beast Incarnate was angered by this. He took exception to Triple H's comments, and he assaulted The Game. Lesnar applied the Kimura Lock, which ruled Triple H out of action for a few months, and it set up their feud that spanned over the next year.

After Triple H's feud with Kevin Nash was curtailed, The Game returned for John Laurinaitis' job evaluation on the January 30, 2012 episode of Raw. Triple H was going to future endeavor Laurinaitis, but he was saved by The Undertaker's gong.

No words were spoken between the two iconic legends. Triple H walked away from Undertaker and headed back into the locker room. A match on WrestleMania 28 was on the cards, which kept fans guessing, but The Phenom made his intentions known by looking at the WrestleMania sign.

Triple H suffered a loss to Seth Rollins in a remarkable one-on-one encounter at WrestleMania 33. However, Triple H returned on the go-home episode of Raw before Survivor Series 2017. The teams for Raw and SmackDown were almost complete for the traditional Survivor Series elimination match. There was an issue with the Raw team as Jason Jordan sustained a knee injury.

Fans popped when the King of Kings made his way down the aisle. He made a groundbreaking announcement, and he replaced Jordan at Survivor Series as a member of Team Raw. Triple H nailed Jordan with a Pedigree, and he headed backstage. Angle's job was on the line at Survivor Series, and Team Raw had to prevail to ensure that Angle would remain as Raw GM.

After Triple H failed to recapture the World Heavyweight Championship from Batista inside Hell in a Cell at Vengeance 2005, he undertook a four-month hiatus to heal some niggling injuries. He returned for Raw Homecoming which took place on October 3, 2005. The Game teamed up with Ric Flair, and they defeated Carlito and Chris Masters.

Triple H and Flair were in unison, but it spelled the official end of Evolution when Triple H did the unthinkable by blindsiding Flair and hitting him with a sledgehammer. The Game was vicious, and Flair shed a lot of blood. This kickstarted their feud which saw them split victories in a Steel Cage match at Taboo Tuesday, and the Last Man Standing match at Survivor Series.

After Triple H's epic with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 27, The Game's time as a full-time competitor was over. Triple H returned on the July 18, 2011, edition of Raw, and he dropped a bombshell. He revealed that he was the COO of WWE, and he told his father-in-law, Mr. McMahon that he was relieved of his duties.

Both Triple H and McMahon were emotional. Nevertheless, Triple H's return was successful as he featured in the WWE Championship feud between John Cena and CM Punk at SummerSlam. He went on to have some matches with CM Punk and Kevin Nash during this time frame before the year came to a close.

6 SummerSlam 2007

Unfortunately, the start of 2007 went wrong for Triple H as he tore his right quadriceps at New Year's Revolution 2007 in his World Tag Team Championship match with Shawn Michaels against Rated-RKO. The Game was on the sidelines for seven months, but he made his triumphant return at SummerSlam.

Triple H collided with King Booker, and it was a smart move as Booker is a solid worker. The video package that played before Triple H came out was exceptional. Inevitably, Triple H prevailed, and he earned his first World Championship win in two years when he beat Randy Orton for the WWE Title at No Mercy.

Triple H made his first appearance in four months after dropping the WWE Championship to Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 32. The Game interfered in the fatal-4-way elimination match for the vacant Universal Championship. He was expected to aid Seth Rollins in winning the Universal Title, but that failed to happen.

The King of Kings was going to assault Owens, but he opted to attack Rollins instead. He planted Rollins with the Pedigree, and Owens captured the Universal Championship. It was a shocking turn of events and Owens, Mick Foley, and Triple H's wife Stephanie McMahon were all in shock. This was the beginning of an exceptional feud between Triple H and Rollins which culminated with a Rollins victory at WrestleMania 33.

Brock Lesnar was on a rampage, and he set his sights on Mr. McMahon on the February 25, 2013 episode of Raw. Cue The Game's music, and Triple H sported a new look with short hair. The Game looked ice-cold, and he saved his father-in-law. This was Triple H's first appearance since he lost to Lesnar at SummerSlam 2012.

This brawl was intense, and Triple H split Lesnar's head open. Lesnar required 18 stitches afterward to heal the wounds. Ultimately, Triple H hammered Lesnar with some vicious steel chair shots. They collided in a rematch at WrestleMania 29 with The Game overcoming Brock to ensure that his career remained intact.

Fans were treated to two huge returns on the February 21, 2011 edition of Raw. The cryptic, 2-21-11 date marked Undertaker's return. Moments later, Triple H returned for the first time in 9 months. They had a staredown, and Triple H looked at the WrestleMania 27 sign. Undertaker did the same to signal an upcoming match.

This was powerful as no words were spoken, but it was effective with 'Taker smirking and doing his cutthroat gesture sign to Triple H. The Game responded with a crotch chop, which planted the seeds for their second 'Mania match together.

2 Royal Rumble 2016

Triple H marked his return to action in the 2016 Royal Rumble match as the 30th entrant. The Game made an instant impact as he eliminated Dolph Ziggler and Bray Wyatt from the match. Roman Reigns' WWE Championship was on the line, and The Game eliminated Reigns from the contest.

This guaranteed a new WWE Champion, and Triple H squared off with Dean Ambrose as the last men standing. Triple H outlasted Ambrose, and he captured his 14th WWE World Championship reign, and he won the Rumble for the second time in his career.

The reception that Triple H received on the January 7, 2002, edition of Raw was deafening. The Cerebral Assassin tore his left quadriceps in May 2001, and he returned to programming at Madison Square Garden.

The Game cut a promo but he was interrupted by Kurt Angle. Triple H and Angle got physical with fans cheering for The Game. Triple H planted Angle with a Pedigree, and he entered the Rumble as the overwhelming favorite, and he went on to win the Rumble for the first time.
