"The Most Must-See Superstar on WWE TV" The Miz, has a Hall of Fame-worthy career and has accomplished more than he ever imagined he would when he started with WWE. He signed with the company in 2004 and is now one of the most seasoned members of the roster. He is a multiple-time World Champion and is the first-ever 2-time Grand Slam Champion.

The Miz is one of WWE's most treasured talents as he does so many things for the company. He has a huge following on social media and uses his platform to help promote them. He and his wife Maryse have a WWE-themed reality TV show, that helps bring attention to the company as well. He stars in their movies, works their events, and does so much more. Not to mention some think he might be the best superstar on the microphone in the last 20 years. Either way, with a star as important as The Miz, there are some things that WWE might want fans to forget about him, so they can protect his character for the rest of his time in the company.

10 The Real World

The Miz on the real world

The Miz is one of the top reality stars for WWE TV. He has his own show Miz and Mrs. that airs on the USA network, and he has done a variety of hosting and various other reality projects for the company. One of the reasons they have The Miz be the person to do these projects is because he is very familiar with reality television.

He was one of the stars of MTV's The Real World and the spin-off The Challenge. He has been with WWE for almost 20 years, and those shows have themes that are not always suitable for families. They might want fans to forget that he was ever on that show, and focus on all the real projects he currently does.

9 Tough Enough

Before The Miz was officially signed to a WWE contract, he was a contestant on WWE's reality developmental show Tough Enough. The show would follow multiple contestants and push them to the limits testing to see if they had what it took to be a professional wrestler. The winner would receive a WWE contract worth 1 million dollars.

Miz was on the fourth season of the show, and came in second place overall, losing to Daniel Puder. Even though he lost, WWE still had an interest in him and signed him to a developmental contract. Since Daniel Puder turned out to be a flop and The Miz is so successful, they might want to leave the Tough Enough thing behind him.

The Miz in Diva Search

Fans are living in the age of the Women's Revolution of wrestling, where the women are finally being treated as equals and have been given prime spots on the card. Before, the women on the roster were treated more like objects. They were to compete in demeaning matches and contests in hopes of adding a visual appeal to the show.

Part of that was the Diva Search competition, which saw a group of women go through obstacles and tribulations in hopes of becoming a WWE Diva. As part of his initial gimmick, The Miz was the on-screen host of this competition. Since the idea of the Diva Search would not fit well today, they would like fans to forget the concept altogether.

7 Backstage Issues

Now fans have grown to love Miz's on-screen persona no matter if he is a feel or a face, but when he was first starting out, he truly lived that character. This did not sit well with the veterans on the roster, who sought to put the young star in his place.

It got to the point where the roster would throw The Miz off of buses and make him travel alone. They would not let him in the backstage locker rooms, and make him change outside; pretty much excluded him from the rest of the roster until he learned how to be more respectful. Now, The Miz is seen as one of the veterans in the locker room and has earned his respect but for a time there, he was the most hated person on the roster.

6 Bad Hairstyles

In professional wrestling, a superstar's look is almost as important as their abilities. It makes them who they are, and helps the audience get an understanding of the character. Part of their look is how they style their hair, and The Miz has had some of the worst luck with hairstyles. For example, when he started out in the business he had a very boyband-style haircut.

This would then have him shaving the sides of his head but wearing the top in a mohawk style cut. He would sometimes hide his hair with a horrible fedora, which did not suit his character one bit. He would then have frosted tips and spikes. Overall, he has come a long way with his look since the terrible styles they gave him at the beginning.

5 Ric Flair's Protégé

Miz and Flair

In late 2012, The Miz lost his Intercontinental Championship to Wade Barrett after a long championship reign. He would go absent for a while before returning to hunt down Cesaro's United States Championship. During that time he adopted Ric Flair's Figure Four Leg Lock, after being mentored by the WWE Hall of Famer himself.

Though Flair is one of the greatest wrestlers to have ever lived, there has been a lot of controversy around his name as of late. WWE has somewhat cut ties with Flair temporarily, in which Flair was very vocal about his frustrations with the company after that. The two sides will probably make amends but for now, WWE will not want one of their top stars in The Miz associated with Flair.

4 His First Loss

Miz v Boogeyman Armageddon 2006

When The Miz started his career, he had hoped to be instantly pushed to the top due to his fame on MTV and his time in Tough Enough. He made his debut on SmackDown as a heel and had a 3-month undefeated streak. This would see him defeat stars like Matt Hardy and Tatanka, among others.

He would face his first loss when he faced up against The Boogeyman at the 2006 Armageddon event. This would see The Miz not only take the loss but then end up with a mouth full of worms for his troubles.

3 Bad Acting Credits

The Miz in Marine 5

The Miz has come a long way in his acting career, and some feel that he could be a true Hollywood actor when he retires from WWE. He has done his fair share of terrible movies though, with most of them being straight to video WWE projects. For example, he took over The Marine saga from John Cena, starring in most of the movies.

Miz has 12 movie credits to his name and has appeared in many television projects. He has made appearances on shows like Supernatural, Psych, and Sirens; all outside of his reality TV show credits. Overall, he has yet to be cast in a major role, but that is mostly because he has made WWE his full-time gig. Once he does leave, WWE will want to leave all the bad credits behind and focus on his good ones.

2 Working While Sick

Miz and Reigns

During the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, there was a lot of uncertainty not only in the world of professional wrestling but throughout the world in general. WWE would end up facing backlash by some fans and staff dude to some of the ways they handled the health and safety of their stars. Part of that came from allowing The Miz to show up to the Performance Center while he was sick.

Now, it was not confirmed if The Miz had the Covid-19 virus, but he was sick and did still show up for work. This was rumored to be one of the reasons that Roman Reigns decided to step away from the ring, due to his high risk health status. It ended up working out, and thankfully all are okay today, but WWE would not want fans thinking they were putting people at risk.

1 The Short Title Reign

The Miz WWE Champion 2021 Cropped

The Miz main-evented WrestleMania 27 and retained his WWE Championship in a match with John Cena. He was at the top of the roster at that time but went many years without the World Championship once he lost his first one. That was until he won the Money in the Bank contract from Otis in 2021.

He would go on to cash it in and successfully defeat Drew McIntyre after interference from Bobby Lashley. The championship reign would only last about a week, as he would lose the championship to Bobby Lashley on an episode of Raw. This makes Miz's championship reign one of the shortest in the modern era of professional wrestling. Hopefully, when he wins his next World Championship, WWE fans will forget how bad this reign was.
