Born to Leonie and Fintan Devitt, Finn Balor is the second eldest of the couple's five children. Balor's family played a huge part in his journey to become a professional wrestler, and his parents were seen in the crowd in various shows over the years, including the recent Clash at the Castle event.

Balor has one elder and two younger brothers, who share quite the striking resemblance to their father. He also has a younger sister, and this picture of all five siblings at Balor's sister's wedding ceremony proves they are one close bunch.

9 Best Friends With Karl Anderson

Finn Balor first rose to prominence during his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he became the founder of the infamous Bullet Club faction. Karl Anderson was also part of the original group, and the two would eventually become best friends over the years.

When Balor left NJPW in 2014, it was Karl Anderson who took his place as the new leader of the Bullet Club. The two would eventually reunite in WWE and briefly worked together as The Balor Club alongside Luke Gallows. They might currently be in different promotions but are still very close personal friends.

Much like many superstars on the current WWE roster, Finn Balor is also a gamer and has appeared on Xavier Woods' YouTube gaming channel UpUpDownDown.

He's especially a big fan of handheld gaming and has quoted Tetris as one of his favorite games to play. During an interview with DualShockers, Balor revealed that he wouldn't go anywhere without his Nintendo Switch and loves to play Mario Cart and Tetris, especially the latter, as it was the first game he played as a kid.

7 His Diet & Workout Plan

Finn Balor is one of the fittest wrestlers on the current WWE roster, and the fans have always admired his ability to stay in incredible shape over the years. When asked about his workout plan and diet during an interview, Finn Balor revealed that he wouldn't have a workout plan whenever he would walk into a gym. He further stated that he enters the gym, feels the workout, and takes it from there and also revealed that he doesn't do any cardio.

He also revealed that his diet is the key to his fitness and that he would never compromise on that. He runs a zero-to-no-carb diet and usually starts things off with a protein shake or eggs. He also introduced açaí bowls in his diet plan and stated that his abs were made more in the kitchen than in the gym.

6 Loves Comic Books & Collecting Legos

Finn Balor is also a big fan of comic books and has worn face and body paint inspired by various comic book characters to his matches over the years. Some of his displays include the Joker, Spider-Man, and Venom, which he portrayed during his time in Japan and the independent circuit.

He also loves to collect Legos and claimed watching SummerSlam 1995 while playing with his Lego set as one of his fondest early memories. He revealed that collecting Legos was something he grew up with and that it's his favorite thing to do in his spare time and to distance himself from the world.

5 Used To Run His Own Wrestling School

During his early days as a wrestler, Finn Balor started a wrestling school when he was only around 20 years old. He started the school after realizing the lack of proper wrestling institutes in his home country of Ireland.

He found Fight Factory alongside Paul Tracey as part of the partnership between NWA Ireland and NWA UK Hammerlock. Though it was short-lived, Balor trained notable current wrestlers like former Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch and current NXT Superstar JD McDonagh.

4 His Favorite WWE Superstars During His Childhood

Much like most of the pro wrestlers in the industry, Finn Balor also grew up watching WWE. He's quoted The British Bulldog, Shawn Michaels, Mr. Perfect, Rick Rude, Savio Vega, and Koko B. Ware as his favorite wrestlers during his early years. While he might not have had the chance to work with most of his favorite wrestlers, Balor did get the opportunity to work with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels during his time in NXT.

3 Was In A Relationship With Cathy Kelley

Finn Balor was smart enough to keep his relationships private from the mainstream media, but being a WWE Superstar has its disadvantages. He couldn't escape the dirt sheets when the news of him being in a relationship with former WWE correspondent Cathy Kelley.

Cameras spotted Balor and Kelley holding hands and walking in the streets, and sitting together in a New York Knicks game. They also attended the 2017 Hall of Fame ceremony together, but things didn't work out so well for them as they ended up going their separate ways.

2 Got Married In A Private Ceremony

After ending his relationship with Cathy Kelley, Finn Balor kept quiet about his personal life until June 2019, when he revealed his relationship with Mexican sports journalist Vero Rodríguez during an interview at the UEFA Champions League final.

Balor proposed to Rodríguez the following day, and they got married in a private ceremony on 19 August 2019. The ceremony took place in what looks like a jungle in Tulum, Mexico. The wedding took place after WWE wrote him off television following his loss against The Fiend at SummerSlam 2019, and he used the time off to tie the knots with Vero Rodríguez.

1 He's Learning Spanish

Finn Balor has worked all over the globe and quite extensively in Japan and might be a bit familiar with Japanese, but since he got into a relationship with Vero Rodríguez, Balor has been trying hard to learn Spanish.

While speaking with Ryan Satin in an episode of Out of Character, Balor revealed that he first started learning Spanish for around two hours a week, but after the COVID restrictions, he is learning around an hour a week with a tutor. He also joked about how he mixed things up with Puerto Rican Spanish, but it's intriguing to think about how Balor would sound speaking Spanish with his thick Irish accent.
