When you think of the abbreviation “AI,” what is the first thing that comes to mind? Most people would either think of Artificial Intelligence or former NBA great, Allen Iverson. What both of those have in common besides the AI moniker, is a mutual dislike for the New England Patriots come Super Bowl LII. As one of Philadelphia’s greatest athletes, Iverson is undoubtedly rooting for the Eagles, and as it turns out, so is the other AI.
Artificial intelligence runs Amazon’s virtual assistant software, Alexa. If you ask Alexa who will win the Super Bowl, it eschews the favored Patriots and instead picks the Eagles.

“The team favored to win is the (COUGH), is the (COUGH), excuse me, is the Patriots — (clears throat) that was tough to get out. But I’m flying with the Eagles on this one because of their relentless defense and the momentum they’ve been riding off their underdog status. E-A-G-L-E-S! Eagles!”
But wait, there’s more! Not only does Alexa think that the Eagles will upset the Patriots, but Alexa also took a shot at the golden boy, Tom Brady. There were reports that there was friction between Brady and his then-backup Jimmy Garoppolo which led to Jimmy G being shipped to the 49ers at the trade deadline. Ask Alexa why Garoppolo “crossed the road,” and this is the response you will hear:

“To make way for Tom Brady’s ego!”
Knowing how Brady, Bill Belichick and the Patriots can use any type of slight or perceived slight as motivation, it wouldn’t shock us if Belichick busted out Alexa in a team meeting and asked it these same questions. The Patriots players may find it amusing at first, but they would then likely get ticked off and use this as motivation vs. the Vikings.
