Russell Wilson learned the hard way that's it best not to shoot your mouth off too much.
As seen above, the Seahawks quarterback tweeted prior to the game guaranteeing a Seattle victory. Instead, the Seahawks lost to the lowly Rams 34-31 in overtime in a game where Wilson was sacked six times.
The Rams themselves wasted no time mocking Wilson for it, first on the field with Benny Cunningham...

"1-0, baby. Retweet that!" pic.twitter.com/0YhASJZU6C
Then in a tweet from the official Rams page:
Hey @DangeRussWilson, don't delete this... https://t.co/MJmLa9lUDW

Wilson did respond with a more humble tweet that shows signs of the Seahawks moving on but no doubt will refrain from such boasts down the road:
Our goal is to go 1-0 every week. We fell a little short today, but looking forward to getting back to work! #GoHawks
