Lita is one of the most important wrestlers in the history of the WWE. During the Ruthless Aggression Era, she had a huge hand in elevating the women's division to the level it currently stands where stars like Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, and Ronda Rousey are huge draws for the company.

Despite competing in an era where women's wrestling was more of a spectacle than a sport, Lita has a ton of memorable moments and matches. Her iconic 2004 bout on Raw with Trish Stratus was the first time a women's match ever headlined a WWE TV show. Still, there are many forgotten matches that adorn Lita's Hall of Fame career and this list examines 10 of them.

10 Vs Dean Malenko (Raw) - 2000

Lita v Dean Malenko

In 2000, Dean Malenko, who was one of the best technical wrestlers at the company, was given a strange "ladies man" gimmick. In a story move that would probably not make to air today, Malenko offered Lita a match for his WWE Light Heavyweight Championship with the stipulation being if she lost she had to go on a date with him.

The idea was insane, but the quick five-minute match is way more entertaining than it should be. Malenko won the bout, but it would eventually lead to Lita kissing Matt Hardy and starting their on-screen relationship that made a huge splash in the WWE.

9 V Jazz (ECW) - 1999

Lita ECW

Before arriving to the WWE, Lita wrestled for Paul Heyman's ECW wrestling promotion in the 90s. Under the ring name "Miss Congeniality," Lita fought future WWE Women's Champion, Jazz, at a show in 1999.

The match is fairly intense and was the precursor to the many matches the two stars would have in the WWE just a few short years later.

8 V Jacqueline "Hardcore Match" (Raw) - 2000

Jacqueline Women's Champion Cropped

Jacqueline and Lita's hardcore match on Raw is way too often forgotten. If you could point to another match (outside of Trish and Lita main eventing Raw) that ushered in the future of the women's division, this match would be it.

The two competed as hardcore as any man on the roster and had one of the most entertaining matches of the whole evening. Jacqueline and Lita are both legendary, because of performances like this one.

7 Vs Chyna (Judgment Day) - 2001

Chyna v Lita

It's sometimes forgotten that Chyna and Lita crossed paths in the WWE. They represent two completely different eras of the company but were both crucial in turning the women's division into what it is today. Lita and Chyna are also unique for how they went against the "pretty girly blonde" look that was the standard for women wrestling when both arrived on the scene.

Their match at Judgment Day is a forgotten passing of the torch match despite Lita being unable to best the "ninth wonder of the world."

6 Vs John Cena (Raw) - 2006

John Cena Vs Lita On Raw

Sometimes fans forget the Ruthless Aggression Era was just as insane as the Attitude Era (if not more). Although it is not atypical to see a heel compete against a babyface, John Cena Vs Lita was a little strange.

Today, not only are intergender matches basically a thing of the past, there is no chance a top babyface like Cena would ever compete against a woman. John Cena (obviously) destroyed Lita with one hand tied behind his back as Lita's boyfriend Edge watched in fear.

5 Lita & The Rock Vs Triple H & Trish Stratus (Raw) - 2000

WWE Lita Holding The Women's Championship Beside The Rock And The Hardy Boys

Lita competed in many matches with huge star power, but this tag match stands out. At the time, Triple H and The Rock were the hottest wrestlers on the planet, while Lita and Trish were on course to be at the top of the women's division.

This is one of the best intergender tag matches in the history of Raw. The Rock actually gives Stratus a Spinebuster during that match that led to one of the best Moonsaults of Lita's entire career.

4 Jeff Hardy & Lita Vs Matt Hardy (Raw) - 2001

Lita in Team Xtreme

Team Xtreme, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, and Lita, will go down in history as one of the greatest wrestling factions of the early 2000s. The addition of Edge and Christian turned this saga into a full-blown soap opera that dominated WWE TV.

One of the forgotten matches of Team Xtreme is the handicap match where Jeff and Lita teamed up against Matt Hardy. It was one of the worst bouts of the entire saga and the two legends lost to Matt Hardy in a roll-up.

3 Vs Victoria "Steel Cage Match" (Raw) - 2003

Lita Vs Victoria Steel Cage

This is the forgotten first women's cage match in the history of the WWE. Although everyone expected this to be an insane over-the-top bout between two stars at the top of their game, the match is pretty tame in retrospect.

Lita has said she and Victoria were both instructed to not get on the cage or do anything other than have a regular match in a cage. The match was just "okay," but its impact is crucial.

2 Essa Rios & Lita Vs Chyna & Eddie Guerrero (Smackdown) - 2000

Essa Rios And Lita

Lita's debut WWE match is forgotten, because it wasn't that great. Despite competing against a young Eddie Guerrero who was going through a storyline with Chyna, she and Essa Rios lacked any chemistry as partners.

She spent a short time with Rios and, luckily, became a solo star quickly after this forgotten match on SmackDown.

1 Santa's Little Helper Tag Match (Raw) - 2003

Lita Santa's Little Helper Tag (Raw) - 2003

The absence of the "Santa's Little Helper Match" in modern WWE is proof the company has evolved. In a tag match, that basically existed to show off beautiful women in skimpy Santa suits, Lita competed alongside Stacy Keibler & Trish Stratus defeating Jackie Gayda, Molly Holly, and Victoria.

The talent in the ring was way too good to be used on this strange gimmick and this match is often forgotten like most of the Santa's Little Helper matches.
