WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg has locked in his pick for the winner of the highly-anticipated Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar SummerSlam 2022 bout.

In nine days, Reigns and Lesnar will square off in a Last Man Standing for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. WWE is billing this up as the final showdown between the two wrestling legends. This will mark Lesnar's first match since losing the "Winner Takes All" title unification match to Reigns at WrestleMania 38.

During an appearance on the NFL Network Good Morning Football program (h/t WrestlingInc.com), the 55-year-old Goldberg revealed that he's choosing Lesnar to emerge victorious against Reigns.

"I gotta go Brock," Goldberg stated. "You never know what’s going to happen when Brock gets in the ring with anybody, let alone Roman. We’ve seen it a couple of times, but no matter how many times you’ve seen those two go at it, there’s always going to be something new, always going to be something exciting."

Goldberg has faced Lesnar in three separate one-on-one matches, with the former taking the first two meetings. Goldberg defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania and in the main event of Survivor Series 2016. However, The Beast Incarnate finally outlasted the former pro football player at WrestleMania 33 to become the new Universal Champion.

Roman Reigns Vs Brock Lesnar

Reigns and Goldberg met for the very first time at the February Crown Jewel pay-per-view (a Universal title match). The former won that much via technical submission. It remains Goldberg's most recent WWE match to date, though the Hall of Famer recently revealed that he's still under contract with the WWE.

Roman Reigns Is 3-2 All Time vs. Brock Lesnar

Lesnar won the first two singles matches against Reigns, defeating him to retain the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 34 and The Greatest Royal Rumble. But Reigns finally got past his archenemy at SummerSlam 2018 to become the new Universal Champion.

Reigns defeated Lesnar at Crown Jewel 2021 (thanks largely to some help from The Usos), to retain his Universal title. As previously mentioned, Reigns also defeated his longtime rival at WrestleMania 38. Can The Tribal Chief pull off the incredible accomplishment of defeating Lesnar in four straight meetings? Only time will tell. For what it's worth, Reigns is the massive -400 favorite to win that bout.
