D-Generation X entered a rivalry with the Nation of Domination in 1998, which saw D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, and Owen Hart defeat Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, and Triple H at the 1998 Over The Edge PPV.

However, DX got a rematch against the Nation of Domination on the following night's episode of Raw. Triple H, Billy Gunn, and Road Dogg took on The Rock, Owen Hart, and D-Lo Brown in an elimination match at the event, which saw Billy Gunn's team pick up the victory. The New Age Outlaws found new challengers for their tag team championships for WrestleMania 14 when they locked champions Cactus Jack & Chainsaw Charlie inside a dumpster and pushed it off the stage.

It led to a Dumpster match between the two teams at WrestleMania 14 for the tag team championships. The two teams put on a decent performance at the event and performed for over ten minutes before Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie locked them inside the dumpster using a forklift truck to win the match and the tag team championship.

7 The Smoking Gunns vs. Owen Hart & Yokozuna - Raw, September 25, 1995 - 3.25 Stars

Billy Gunn was part of the Smoking Gunns tag team alongside Bart Gunn in 1995, and the duo won their first tag team championships at that time. After they lost the titles to Yokozuna and Owen Hart at WrestleMania 11, they continued to chase the titles until September, which landed them getting a title shot against Yokozuna and Owen Hart on the September 25, 1995, episode of Raw.

The Smoking Gunns defeated the champions at the event to reclaim their gold and put on a good performance in the process, thus getting a 3.25-star rating from Meltzer.

After The Smoking Gunns had to relinquish the tag team titles due to Billy Gunn requiring surgery, the team recaptured the titles in May 1996 by defeating The Godwinns. They continued to defend the titles against various challengers, and on the July 22, 1996, episode of Raw, they put the titles on the line against Shawn Michaels and Ahmed Johnson.

The two teams put on a decent performance at the event, and the result saw Michaels and Johnson win the match by disqualification but couldn't walk out as the new champions.

5 The Smoking Gunns Vs. Skip & Zip - Raw, May 27, 1996 - 3.25 Stars

The Bodydonnas had recently dropped the tag team titles and were looking to get back into title contention, and they took on the champions Billy & Bart Gunn in a non-title match.

The match had decent back-and-forth action, and despite Skip & Zip's best efforts, they couldn't pick up the win after Bart Gunn reversed a top rope cross-body attempt into a pinfall to win the match.

The New Age Outlaws had recently reunited with Triple H and X-Pac to reform DX and the united front took on their adversaries at the event. Their team struggled in the early stages but picked up the victory after Triple H pinned Mankind following a Pedigree.

It was the main event of the show, and it took place for an impressive 17:37 minutes. After some intense back-and-forth action, Stone Cold Steve Austin's team picked up the victory after he hit the Stunner on Road Dogg.

The event had wrestlers from several promotions come in to put on a great show for the fans, and Billy Gunn was also a part of the event as he competed in the Zero Hour pre-show battle royal.

The match was for the No.1 Contendership for the ROH World Championship, and Billy Gunn squared off with several wrestlers but couldn't get the job done as Flip Gordon won the match by last eliminating Bully Ray.
