During Tuesday's AEW Dynamite special, Hangman Adam Page was injured. As he was wrestling Jon Moxley for the AEW Championship, he took a clothesline, appeared to land awkwardly on his neck and shoulder, and didn't move. The official checked on the status of Page, called for medical attention, and then almost immediately signaled for the match to end. The show was live and the finish wasn't planned, so the show continued as Page was checked out and eventually stretchered out of the ring.

** Update: AEW made a statement explaining that Page suffered a concussion and was released from the Cincinnati Trauma Center. He will remain in AEW's concussion protocol. AEW thanked the medical personnel and the fans for their support.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting, "AEW sources indicated that Hangman Page was taken to a local hospital to be checked out. Here's to hoping the best for him. The end of Dynamite was said to be improvised as you can imagine." The ending was a promo between Moxley and MJF where MJF said he would be cashing in his chip to fight for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear and Moxley accepted. Moxley cut a promo both as Page was leaving the ring, saying he hoped he would be ok and that this is a "dangerous game" every time people step inside the ropes. His promo with MJF was to warn him that he's as dangerous as "all hell."

He added, "Those that we've heard from say that Hangman Page is responsive and stable. We'll leave additional health updates to Page himself or AEW. I'm told a statement should be coming soon."

Wishing The Best For Hangman Page

Prayers and well wishes for Page started trending right away as fans and other wrestlers were concerned for his well-being. Big E, who had recently suffered an injury of his own when he was thrown onto his head, tweeted, "Praying for Hangman."

We can only hope he makes a full recovery and that he's back to AEW sooner than later and when he's 100% ready to make a return.
