Sid Vicious, real name Sid Eudy, was notable during the mid-1990s and despite being relatively limited in the ring, Eudy was able to carve out a path of success in both WCW and WWE, largely due to his intensity and his stature.

Unfortunately, Eudy was as psycho backstage as he was on the screen, quick to temper and far too eager to get into brawls with his fellow wrestlers. This led to Eudy jumping from one promotion to another throughout the majority of his career.

The brawl between Arn Anderson and Eudy is often recanted and stands out for just how gory the fight was, with both Anderson and Eudy needing medical treatment as they both were busted up and stabbed.

Sid Vicious Became A Star Despite All Odds

This particular fight is a black eye on the entire sport and had it not been for other people interfering, Anderson would have been seriously injured. On the flip side, here is a rather humorous tale involving Eudy, weapons, and his penchant for getting into fights. This one is legendary in wrestling lore but not as prevalent as the scissors fight.

On the October 12, 1991, WCW had just wrapped up a house show in Atlanta and coincidentally, WWE was booked at the Omni Coliseum just a day later. With both companies being in town, the wrestlers gathered around to grab a few drinks, and unfortunately, Sid Vicious was among them.

Eudy had recently jumped from WCW to WWE, and he was exceedingly vocal about just how superior WWE was in comparison. This led to WCW mid-carder and agent, Mike Graham telling him to stuff it but Eudy responded by saying that he drew more money in one night than Graham did during his entire career.

Not done with this tirade, Eudy turned towards Brian Pillman and proclaimed that WWE was so much better as they did not allow smaller guys any spotlight.

Pillman and Vicious were already on bad terms, as the latter had dropped Pillman on his head during WCW WarGames 1991 and did so deliberately, wanting to injure the smaller wrestler. After a final quirk from Eudy about how Pillman was just a pretty boy and would never amount to anything, Pillman stood up for a fight but Eudy was not ready yet.

Eudy backed off, claiming that he had injured his bicep and that he was not looking to pick a fight. After excusing himself, the former world champion ran off in search of an appropriate weapon, and he soon found one; a squeegee, one that is used to wipe windows clean. Now armed and dangerous, Eudy returned to the bar and demanded a fight from Graham and Pillman.

Thankfully, Eudy did not whack a co-worker on the head with the weapon of mass destruction and Graham swiftly snatched the squeegee away. This led to Eudy cursing them for a few short seconds before he stormed off yet again and thankfully, this time, he did not return. That was the end of that.

Eudy’s own account differs quite a lot from the original story. According to him, Pillman took exception to Eudy praising WWE and upon getting out of the bar to drive off in his car, Pillman followed him outside.

Eudy stated that he could only spot a squeegee nearby and upon getting his hands on it, he threatened Pillman, and the smaller guy backed as he did not want a fight with Sid Vicious.

In the very same shoot interview, Eudy claimed that he had beaten up Pillman when he had spiked him on his head during WarGames 1991. Eudy stated that all the babyfaces hated working with him as they would get booed and Pillman was no exception. Therefore, Eudy wanted to send a message as Pillman had run his mouth to him, and he accomplished that by almost breaking his neck.

Bruce Prichard later confirmed the accounts of Brian Pillman and Mike Graham while Sid, to this day, maintains his own version of the story and how Pillman did not want a fight with him. The squeegee incident took place two years before the bloody brawl with Arn Anderson and hence, this rather humorous encounter is often overshadowed by the more brutal fight.

Regardless, Eudy yelling for a fight while wielding a squeegee of all things is one hilarious picture. Another wonder in the inexplicable tale of Sid Eudy in the wrestling world.
