Blues and Stars Set NHL Record with Combined 4 Goals in 49 Seconds

The fans in Dallas got themselves quite a treat of a hockey game Friday night, as the Stars and St. Louis Blues combined to score four goals in a span of 49 seconds in the hockey game, setting an NHL record.

Travis Moen scored with 11 seconds remaining in the opening frame, then a wild opening minute of the second period ensued, as Patrik Berglund scored 15 seconds in and Jayden Schwartz followed him 17 seconds later. Jamie Benn answered for Dallas justĀ six seconds later.

In what has become a familiar story for Dallas, they couldn't keep the puck out of their net and the Blues took the game 7-5, in what should squash any hopes Dallas had for a late playoff push.
