British Hockey Player Scores Datsyuk-esque Goal In Shootout

You read that right. In the IIHF World Hockey Championships, Division 1B, Great Britain came back from a 2-0 deficit against South Korea to force a shootout.

Ben O'Connor then pulled a move likely never seen in the UK. O'Connor stickhandled the puck between his legs and pulled off a move that would make Pavel Datsyuk proud, beating the Korean goalie high.

A huge bonus is the BBC commentary team, who saw something they could only dream about ever being able to call.

O'Connor's clearly been watching the likes of Datsyuk and Patrick Kane. For fans of NHL teams who aren't in the playoffs, maybe you could take in some IIHF Division 1B games. It certainly would pique my curiosity to see how countries like South Korea, Great Britain, Holland, Lithuania and Estonia play when Canada, Russia or the United States aren't in their way.
