How Are The Florida Panthers Holding Their Open Goalie Tryouts?

Maybe Will Ferrell should try this too.

The Florida Panthers are holding open goalie tryouts. The event is entitled the "Goal of a Lifetime" contests. The winner of the contest will serve as the backup practice goalie for a day for the Panthers. In addition, two finalists will participate in a shootout during intermission of a game featuring former Panthers players.

The contest is a cool concept to generate some interest in what is a tough market for a hockey team. There will likely be some goalies with solid hockey backgrounds trying out, but for the average person, how in the world will they muster up the courage to stand in front of NHL players' shots?

Well, maybe Gerard Gallant can do what Apu did to Milhouse.
