It's days like Trade Deadline day that make fans miss the days before the NHL's salary cap came into effect. Sure, it's led to some parity and has done wonders for the game, but you have to admit, the deadline days where you saw GMs mortgaging their futures for high-profile players were a lot more fun to watch. Gone are the days of seeing names like Rob Blake, Ray Bourque and Theo Fleury moved at the deadline.
The big tunas have already shifted, with the likes of Jaromir Jagr, Cody Franson, Andrej Sekera, Evander Kane and Tyler Myers already traded?
Well, he could be moved as well before Monday, so it appears deadline day is going to be a dud. Damn you GMs, why can't you all procrastinate like we did in high school?!!
