They told Taz to send Hook, and so Hook was sent ... into the ring with Fuego Del Sol, who he absolutely destroyed during his in-ring AEW debut on the latest edition of AEW Rampage. It all went down in Long Island on a Rampage that was actually taped after the December 8 edition of Dynamite, but which didn't air until Friday, December 10.

The 22-year-old Hook sauntered down to the ring to Action Bronson's “The Chairman’s Intent” and it was clear from the get-go that he understood the assignment. When he arrived in the ring, he stood in the corner facing away from his opponent in a sign of disrespect. To add to the majesty of the moment, Hook's dad Taz was on commentary.

The match itself lasted a little over three minutes, and while Fuego did manage to get a little bit of offense in, it was a very one-sided dual, with Hook dominating throughout and tossing Fuego around like a rag doll. At one point, Hook countered Fuego's top-tope tornado DDT into a press slam in what was another shocking display of strength.

Hook's debut delivered and then some, which is why AEW president announced that he had signed Hook to an official contract shortly after Rampage ended.

Hook (real name Tyler Senerchia) was welcomed into the AEW fold when he was revealed as the newest member of Team Taz on the December 16, 2020 edition of Dynamite. Hook was trained by QT Marshall and Cody Rhodes at the Nightmare Factory in Atlanta, GA.

Hook's Taz wrestled from 1987 to 2006. He is best known for his WWE tenure, during which he mostly worked as a color commentator, but the bulk of his professional success came in Paul Heyman's Extreme Championship Wrestling. In ECE, Taz was a three-time ECW World Tag Team Champion, a two-time ECW World Television Champion, and a two-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion. He was also the inaugural holder of the FTW Championship, a title he later reactivated in AEW.
