According to Cain A. Knight of CageSide Seats, WWE may have come to grips with the idea that Omos isn't quite ready to be a main player on the WWE roster. If accurate, that could explain why he was moved down the card on this week's Raw and his feud with Lashley has likely come to a close.

Knight suggests that Omos’ match at Hell in a Cell 2022 appeared, in a manner of speaking to be a test for Omos. While there is still a lot of hope for what the big man can become, it might have been determined backstage that he needs a bit more work and that rushing him to the upper part of the card is not the best move. Omos lost his handicap match against Bobby Lashley and while it was MVP that took the actual loss and WWE tried to save face by having Omos squash Cedric Alexander the next night on Raw, moving him into a program with the Dirty Dawgs is a sign that they're pulling back the reins a bit.

Omos and MVP began a program Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode this past week. It appears Roode and Ziggler will be the babyfaces in the program and Omos and MVP will work as a tag team. Meanwhile, Lashley will move in another direction and work his way back into the WWE Title picture. The belief is that putting Omos in more matches with great in-ring workers is the right decision and if he's in tag matches, he can pick up more good habits.

Knight writes, "But the bottom line is that WWE tested the waters with Omos in the upper card over the last few months, and it didn’t work at all. We’ll see if he can bounce back from that failure."

Not The End Of Big Things For the Big Man

Omos is unique. Not in a long time has the WWE had someone like him on the roster. He's the next coming of Andre the Giant in many ways and WWE knows it. The trick for them is not to overdo it and expose him in a negative way. Playing the long-term game with the big man is probably the best plan of action and if talented guys like Ziggler and Roode can put him over in the process, it bodes well for him down the line.
