Whether you like him or not, Hulk Hogan is one of the most famous pro wrestlers of all time. The first WWE Superstar to truly transcend the business as he broke into the worlds of TV and Hollywood. However, despite being welcomed back into the WWE family, by some at least, controversy continues to follow The Hulkster pretty much everywhere he goes.

Hulk Hogan And The Church Of Scientology

Hogan sparked rumors that he was the Church of Scientology's latest celebrity recruit when he started dating known Scentiologist Sky Daily. The belief that he is at least courting the controversial religious group has been furthered this week after Hogan was spotted taking in an NFL game with Tom Cruise. Cruise has been the world's most famous Scientologist for a very long time.

Reported by TJR Wrestling, the site highlighted a tweet from Aaron Smith-Levin revealing Cruise and Hogan had been spotted at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys game. The additional tidbit in the Hogan Scientology story also includes a previous tweet revealing the WWE Hall of Famer had been posing for photo opportunities with known Scientologists with Scientology-owned businesses as the backdrop.

The Hulkster's History With Scientologists

The Church of Scientology has been a controversial collective for a number of years. Often recruiting celebrities to be its figureheads, it seems The Hulkster might well be the church's latest target. In fact, if all of the above is anything to go by, Hogan appears to have already been recruited.

As for why Scientology often stirs up negative connotations, Smith-Levin is the CEO of an organization that helps former members of the church get reacquainted with the outside world after they leave. The need for such an organization may well explain why people view the group somewhat negatively. As for Hogan, there's talk of him being at Raw's 30th anniversary show next week. Perhaps he'll weave some Scientology hype into his promo should he be left alone with the mic.
