With the likes of Bryan Danielson and Edge returning from retirement in recent years, many fans have been questioning whether we can expect to see the same from Paige. It's been a while since we've seen Paige in WWE, and last week the former Divas Champion revealed her time with the company is coming to an end. Her current deal ends on July 7, and her contract will not be renewed.

Always Welcome At Impact

At the same time as revealing she'll be leaving WWE, Paige also made it clear that she plans on wrestling again, even though she hasn't yet been cleared to do so. Where exactly Paige will wrestle next, if she's cleared, is currently unknown. Even if she does have an idea herself, the Brit won't be able to openly talk about it until her WWE deal has expired.

As always, the obvious choice is AEW. However, Gail Kim is hopeful Paige's next stop will be Impact Wrestling. “If she wants to come over to Impact Wrestling I feel like the door is open,” Kim told SEScoops. “I love Paige, I admire everything that she’s done for women’s wrestling... I have nothing but respect for her in and outside of the ring.”

Who's Waiting In Impact?

Kim no longer competes in the ring, so if Paige does make the jump to Impact, the former Knockouts Champion won't be who she faces. There are a fair few dream matches waiting for her in what is still an incredibly strong division, though. Taya Valkyrie, Chelsea Green, and Deonna Purrazzo, just to name a few.

Unfortunately, Paige won't be free from her WWE deal in time to make a surprise appearance at this weekend's Slammiversary. A huge event for Impact which will celebrate 20 years since the start of the company, back when it was still called TNA. Impact has teased the arrivals of soon-to-be-released WWE Superstars in the past though, even ones they haven't managed to sign, so maybe Paige will at least get a mention on Sunday night.
