The talk of the forbidden door is a common topic ever since AEW has made it part of their appeal. AEW has opened the door on numerous occasions by bringing in talent from New Japan Pro Wrestling as well as Impact Wrestling.

However, with the announcement that Knockouts World Champion, Mickie James, will be entered in the 2022 WWE Women's Royal Rumble, it looks as those the WWE may be willing to work with other companies such as Impact to open a forbidden door. If WWE decides to make this a less rare situation, there are tons of Impact wrestlers that we'd love to see walk through that door.

10 Gail Kim

Gail Kim TNA Entrance

Gail Kim is one of the greatest women's wrestlers of all time. Kim has spanned numerous wrestling companies, achieving championships in many of them and helping build their women's division to unprecedented levels. It's not hyperbole to say that if it was not for Kim's contributions, Impact Wrestling and the Knockouts division would not be what it is today.

If Kim entered the WWE through the forbidden door of Impact, she would likely be treated with the respect that she has earned. Seeing Gail Kim versus the likes of Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Asuka and many more would be a treat.

9 Trey Miguel

trey-miguel-Impact

There is already an easy story to tell if Trey Miguel were to enter the forbidden door between Impact Wrestling and WWE. Miguel was one part of The Rascalz in Impact with NXT's MSK. Wes Lee, Nash Carter, and Trey Miguel were a dynamic trio in Impact and on the independent scene. If Miguel worked through the forbidden door, a three-on-three tag match (maybe against The New Day) could perfectly showcase just what Impact used to have. With the high-flying X-Division wrestling style, he has gained comparisons to Ricochet.

A match between Miguel and Ricochet could be one of the most impressive and best aerial duels that wrestling has seen since maybe Ricochet vs. Will Ospreay.

8 JONAH

JONAH (Bronson Reed) defeats Jai Vidal in his in-ring Impact Wresting debut on December 2, 2021

One of WWE's biggest mistakes last year was releasing Bronson Reed from NXT. During Reed's time with the black and gold brand, he proved to be one of the most skillful and versatile big men in the business. Reed captured the NXT North American Championship, and it was a shock for many fans when he was released in 2021.

Now, Reed goes by JONAH and took no time to show the world what he's capable of, attacking Josh Alexander in his Impact debut. JONAH also works for New Japan and could be the reason that there is more than one forbidden door opened. If so, it'd make sense to give JONAH those matches considering he's proved he can work with any wrestler, no matter the size or style.

7 Chris Bey

Chris Bey

Bullet Club member and Impact Wrestling star Chris Bey has everything to be a superstar in WWE if he chose to sign with the company. Bey began wrestling only four years ago and has proven to be one of the fastest learners in the industry.

Bey has already captured the X-Division Championship and has competed in Ring of Honor and NJPW. Bey briefly worked with WWE where he appeared on 205 Live in a match against Ariya Daivari, but surely WWE has noticed by now what a talent Bey could be on the main roster, or as a cornerstone of NXT.

6 HEATH

Heath Slater Impact

The prophecy must be fulfilled. 3MB's Drew McIntyre, Jinder Mahal, and Heath Slater must all end up being WWE Champion. Some wrestlers need to leave WWE to get recognized more often and showcase to the rest of the world what they can do with more opportunities. Drew McIntyre is one of the best examples of this as he went to Impact and many other companies to prove he was a top guy any wrestling promotion would be lucky to have.

If Slater, now simply known as HEATH was treated as a huge deal, walking through the forbidden door, he would be able to showcase that he is a tremendous wrestler and much more than what WWE used him as for many years.

5 Jordynne Grace

Jordynne Grace

This list contains a lot of great women wrestlers, and that is because the Impact Knockouts have one of the best women's divisions in wrestling. Jordynne Grace is another example of the insane amount of great talent the division possesses and is at the top of the division. Grace, who has been adamant about allowing a forbidden door for women's wrestling, is already a former Impact Knockouts Women's Champion, Impact Knockout Tag Team Champion, Impact Digital Media Champion, making her the first-ever Knockouts Triple Crown Winner all before she turns 26 years old.

Grace is also a rare talent that has not been seen on WWE television in any capacity as she has never worked for the company. Seeing Grace on such a big stage, being booked as a star would be a dream moment for many fans.

4 The IInspiration

The IInspiration

It has not been a long time since WWE released The IIconics, but it would already be nice to see them back. Peyton Royce (now Cassie Lee) and Billie Kay (now Jessie McKay) were some of WWE's most entertaining acts every week.

The IInspiration would be the perfect team to go through the forbidden door and be two faces that WWE fans remember, while still bringing a new attitude that showcases the differences between Impact and WWE. The IInspiration can come into the WWE as Impact Knockouts Tag Team Champions and take on the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.

3 Josh Alexander

josh-alexander-impact-1-

Josh Alexander is one of the keys to Impact Wrestling's success in the coming years. Alexander is an incredible in-ring wrestler who was the one that took the Impact World Championship from Christian Cage, even if he did lose the title moments later. If Impact and WWE had an on-screen war against each other, he would be the easiest pick to go against WWE's best technical workers.

Matches against the likes of Tommaso Ciampa, Shinsuke Nakamura, Chad Gable, Cesaro and guys like Brock Lesnar, Big E and Roman Reigns would do wonders for Impact and for wrestling fans all over.

2 Matt Cardona

If Cardona Wins We Riot GCW Hammerstein

Matt Cardona has always had an ability to get over with the crowd, even when it seemed like WWE was trying their hardest to stop it. The wrestler formerly known as Zack Ryder was one of the most likable babyfaces in wrestling for a decade. From his Internet Champion persona online to being an Edgehead to the Hype Bros, Ryder was always likable.

Ryder was likable until he became the most hated heel in wrestling as Matt Cardona. Cardona and his wife, Chelsea Green (who would also be a great choice to walk through the forbidden door) have run around GCW, mocking the company claiming to be a deathmatch king. Not many saw this character in Cardona when his time with WWE was up, and now, all we can do is hope to see it in WWE.

1 Deonna Purrazzo

Deonna Purrazzo

Deonna Purrazzo has an argument to be one of the best wrestlers in the world. The current AAA Reina de Reinas Champion and ROH Women's Champion has had an incredible year. Purrazzo has conquered just about every company she has walked into, but WWE did not see the value in her that they should have. Purrazzo was released from NXT after being used sparingly, and she went on to join Impact Wrestling.

Purrazzo soon became arguably the greatest Knockouts Champion of all time and has had classics with the likes of Mickie James, and has ended former WWE legend Jazz's career. If WWE treated her the way Impact treats her, she would undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest of all time. Either way, she still likely will.
