Calling it one of the more unique and fun experiences of his life, John Cena talked about what it was like to watch most of WrestleMania 34 from a seat in the crowd.

Part of the build-up leading to his match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 34 included Cena calling Taker out and not knowing if the legend would show up. Cena planted himself in the audience at the start of the event that year and waited for a response from The Deadman. He finally got it, but not after spending some three hours with the audience taking in all the action.

During his recent interview with Pat McAfee, Cena explained that it was one of his favorite experiences of all time because rarely gets to see what the fans see. He noted, "Normally I’m peeking around from a curtain. I can’t sit and watch a WWE show." This allowed him the opportunity to experience the show like the WWE Universe does.

Cena noted that WWE was concerned about letting him sit out there for so long. He said, “I remember when they’re like ‘yeah, we wanna put you out there from like 8:06 to 8:17’ and I’m like ‘no, I’m going out when doors open.’ They figure it was a mistake because he was going to get mobbed, but he was like, "'I’m gonna get mobbed only for as long as it takes to meet everybody.’ And I literally met like three sections of people. Then everybody’s chilled and watched the show."
