Prior to his WWE return on Raw, John Cena took to social media to seemingly hint at a feud with another top superstar.

Cena is set to return to WWE following a 10-month hiatus at tonight's show which will take place at the ames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas. Monday also marks the 20-year anniversary of his unforgettable WWE debut, where a then-25-year-old Cena confronted established legend Kurt Angle in the ring.

On Monday morning, Cena posted a photo of Seth Rollins laughing in one of his signature slick suits. Could this be a sign that Cena and Rollins will renew their rivalry after a long seven-year wait? Only time will tell.

Cena and Rollins, of course, had one of WWE's defining rivalries throughout the second half of 2014 and much of 2015 during the latter's rise to main event status. This was highlighted by a match at SummerSlam 2015, when they faced off in a showdown for both the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (held by Rollins) and the United States Championship (held by Cena). Thanks to interference from SummerSlam host Jon Stewart, The Architect managed to get past Cena to claim both titles.

However, Cena would regain the United States Championship by defeating Rollins at the Night of Champions 2015 pay-per-view. Later that evening, Rollins successfully defended his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Sting.

Rollins vs. Cena At SummerSlam 2022 Would Be Epic

With Brock Lesnar set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam, there's obviously no path for Rollins or Cena to be in the world title scene (barring a Money in the bank cash-in and victory for either star). As previously noted, WWE is reportedly planning a Cena-Theory match for SummerSlam.

But Cena vs. Rollins at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee would also make for a thrilling match. Rollins is flourishing as a top star on Raw right now, and he's certainly well-suited for a marquee program with Cena.
