Jon Moxley has seemingly confirmed talk that there is a ton of drama backstage in AEW. With rumors surrounding names like CM Punk, FTR, and others -- many of whom tend to air their grievances on social media -- Moxley noted that the drama is lowering the value of the wrestling and the quality of the product, bringing others down to the level of only a few bad apples.

During a recent interview on The Sessions with wife and podcast host Renee Paquette, Moxely talked about wrestlers using social media and making any backstage issues common knowledge among the fans. He explained, "I don't think I've ever said anything even remotely negative about AEW but I will say this. As an observer it seems like I spent eight years on the indies, spent a couple of years in WWE developmental, spent like eight years in WWE, I've never seen so much bulls**t drama in one place in my entire f*****g life." He noted, "I hate to say that."

Jon Moxley poses on the ropes

When talking about why he thinks this has become such a problem for AEW, he said, "I don't know if it's because of the age of social media and s**t gets blown out of proportion." Renee then went on to say that wrestlers are coming into the business differently than they ever have before and many of them just go into business for themselves. Considering only how they look to the public, these performers who are quick to throw shade at the company they work for or other wrestlers aren't trying to protect the business.

This Is A Major Issue For AEW

That Moxley -- largely considered the locker room leader in AEW -- is publicly suggesting AEW has a problem with childish drama, it's clear there's an issue. He did note that the majority of people backstage are not complainers, but that the few bad ones are bringing those who don't want any part of the muck down to their level. In other words, the problem seems to be getting worse and not better.
