The Kliq proved that friendships can last forever in wrestling for the five best friends that never stopped supporting each other. There are various pairings in the group that get more talk like Kevin Nash and Scott Hall or Shawn Michaels and Triple H as ultimate best friends. However, other friendship pairings in that group have deep bonds.

Nash and Triple H were viewed as the two most level-headed and intelligent wrestlers in the Kliq from the start of their time as friends to today. There were quite a few interesting moments both on-screen and behind the scenes for them. Wrestling fans will find an interest in the friendship between Triple H and Nash as buddies in the Kliq.

They Were The Only Responsible Kliq Members

Kevin Nash and Triple H were viewed as the only two Kliq members not falling victim to the difficulties of the wrestling grind. Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman all had to deal with drug and alcohol issues haunting them for years. Both Triple H and Nash have shared stories about having to help their friends out when they were in rough shape.

The other Kliq members even revealed that Triple H joining them happened organically, but he also became their designated driver since he didn’t drink alcohol or use drugs. Nash had the same kind of vibe as someone who was in the business to make money and didn’t want to risk that by falling into the same pit balls as his friends. Every pairing in the group had a close bond, but Nash and Triple H shared that role in keeping everyone alive and together.

Kliq Too Sweet

WWE never had them working much together in the New Generation Era due to the timing never making sense. The infamous curtain call for the Kliq is the most noteworthy interaction between the two during that chapter of their careers and friendship. Nash and Triple H’s relationship only unfolded backstage in the Kliq with multiple shared interests.

Finally Getting To Work Together

WWE adding Kevin Nash to the roster in 2002 led to him coming back to a completely different landscape. Triple H was no longer the lower card heel with his limiting gimmick from the New Generation Era. The years passing by saw Triple H as the top heel in the company and a World Champion when Nash was back. There was an injury to end Nash’s New World Order time, and he returned as a face.

The 2003 return for Nash saw him quickly entering a feud with Triple H for the first time in their careers. Triple H had recently defeated other former WCW legends Scott Steiner and Booker T to continue his infamous reign of terror. Nash was presented as a different threat since he was the first “giant” character that challenged Triple H for the World Championship in that era.

Kevin Nash Vs Triple H

Their program deserves more respect for having it play out throughout a few months to build towards a bigger attraction. Triple H defeated Nash in an underrated Hell in a Cell match with Mick Foley as the special guest referee. Nash has discussed this being one of his more prideful performances due to holding his own against Triple H at his best.

Terrible Later Feud

Many fans first think of the CM Punk storyline when hearing about Kevin Nash and Triple H’s friendship. WWE utilized their real-life bond to play into Triple H’s authority figure role and his feud with Punk. Nash came out of the crowd to attack Punk and help Alberto Del Rio cash in Money in the Bank to win the WWE Championship from him at SummerSlam 2011.

The entire angle was based around Nash claiming that he received a text from Triple H and Triple H claiming that he had nothing to do with it. Nash suffering some health injuries ended the hope of a match against Punk. WWE paid off the feud by having Triple H face Nash in a ladder match with a sledgehammer hanging above the ring in a ridiculous fashion.

There were many negative reactions to their final match since the story made no sense. Triple H did his best to carry Nash, but this was unnecessary in every way. Future interviews even saw Triple H admitting Nash didn’t “have it” anymore when discussing Punk’s frustration. Nash and Triple H had some interesting on-screen moments, but their real relationship is the biggest success. Their friendship has remained strong throughout decades while working in different companies.
