Kevin Owens is hoping for the opportunity to renew his memorable rivalry with a top WWE star.

In late 2020 and early 2021, The Prized Fighter had the chance to feud with Universal Champion Roman Reigns. They squared off in title matches at the TLC 2020 and Royal Rumble 2021 pay-per-views, with The Tribal Chief winning on both occasions. The victory at Royal Rumble came in controversial fashion and thanks largely to help from Paul Heyman.

Though Owens didn't come out as the victor in that program, it was certainly one of the more entertaining and eventful feuds of his WWE career. So it's no wonder that the former Universal Champion would like another opportunity to feud with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

During an interview on After The Bell with Corey Graves (h/t Sportskeeda Wrestling), Owens made it clear that he'd like the chance to feud with Reigns in front of a live crowd; their previous feud took place in the ThunderDome era.

"There’s always Roman," Owens said. "I feel like Roman and I have unfinished business, and I think what we did at the beginning of last year in the ThunderDome in front of no audience really had people talking. I cannot imagine what we could do in front of full buildings together."

Owens (Raw) and Reigns (SmackDown) compete on opposite brands, and both are currently working as heels. On top of that, the WWE Draft will presumably take place in the fall. So it'll likely be a while until Owens gets another chance to feud with The Tribal Chief, if WWE even goes that route in the future.

What's Next For Kevin Owens & Roman Reigns?

It's unclear where WWE will go with Owens next. He lost an unforgettable match to Hall of Famer 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin at day one of WrestleMania 38 and has briefly feuded with Cody Rhodes, but The American Nightmare is set to face Seth Rollins again at WrestleMania Backlash on May 8.

As for Reigns, it was reported earlier this week that he will headline WrestleMania Backlash, and it looks like his next opponent will be former WWE Champion and 2020 men's Royal Rumble winner Drew McIntyre.
