Konosuke Takeshita, the 27 year old wrestler from Japan, greatly impressed AEW audiences during his time in the company. Takeshita spent the last few months on an excursion in America where he competed on AEW television, AEW Dark and Elevation, as well as various independent shows across the United States. He recently challenged Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH World Championship on AEW's Battle of the Belts.
For now, American fans will have to say goodbye to Takeshita as the star returns to Japan for the time being. However, he is set to compete in DDT's upcoming show on August 20th so American fans will be able to watch him from afar.
When Will Takeshita Return To AEW?
Takeshita's excursion in America has greatly boosted his stock as a wrestler. Fans consequently began to wonder if WWE would be interested in signing Takeshita to a contract. However, in a recent interview with Cultaholic, Takeshita clarified that he is focused on AEW and DDT.
To be honest, now I'm not interested in WWE. My next goal is more fights in AEW I hope. So I have to go to back to Japan in August and September. Maybe, not decided yet, I hope I go back to America in October. Then if I stay in the US I can come to the UK more times. From Japan to the UK is so far but US to UK is maybe seven hours. It's possible,

Though Takeshita's AEW return date is unclear at the moment, it's clear that he'd like to return before the year is over. Fans will have to wait and watch for when their favorite Cinnabon icon comes back to an AEW ring.
