Pretty much anyone who watches basketball knows exactly who Stephen “Steph” Curry is. He’s one of the greatest modern players to grace the NBA and he is consistently breaking and setting records each time he steps on the court. His loyalty seems to know no bounds as he has played solely for the Golden State Warriors for over a decade.

It’s pretty easy to explain how legendary Curry already is with even a tiny peek at his accomplishments. A consistent champion, scoring leader, and MVP, even people that don’t like Curry have to respect the hustle and skill that he demonstrates on the court.

Curry is no slouch when it comes to his pursuits off the court. Aside from his countless other business ventures, Curry has started his own production company, Unanimous Media. It’s not some small company either, it began working with Sony in 2018.

While he hasn’t done anything of incredible note yet, the many issues that have plagued the world over the last few years played a big part in slowing media production. The company supposedly even signed a deal with NBC back in 2021.

Steph Curry was on a hot streak from 2014-18, though it could be said he's always been on fire. During his 2015-16 season with the NBA Curry put on spectacular performance after spectacular performance, and even though he didn't lead the Warriors to the championship, he did something greater.

Curry became the first player in NBA history to be unanimously voted MVP, a feat that few players will likely ever even hope to achieve in the future. Those that are aware of the voting process will know just how impressive a feat like that truly is.

A little-known fact about Curry that he once openly revealed was that he convinced his mom to fine him whenever he commits turnovers. While Curry is undoubtedly an incredible player, he has had issues with turnovers in the past, so the fine might be a great idea.

Handing over a few hundred dollars after a few turnovers probably isn't a big deal to Curry at this point, but it's a good way to make every turnover sting even more. His average hovers around three per game, something that could make for some serious fines.

7 He Just Keeps Breaking His Own Records

Most people love Curry because of his incredible ability to hit some of the toughest three-point shots imaginable. Not only does he hit those shots, but he also makes them look easy. His skill with three-point shots has led to him setting and breaking his own records.

He set a new record for three-pointers made in an NBA season during his 2012-13 campaign and then proceeded to break his own record in both 2015 and 2016. Only the best of the best can break the records they themselves set.

6 His First Collegiate Game Could Have Gone Better

With how much talent Curry has pretty much always displayed in the NBA, no one could be blamed for assuming he was a dominant player at the collegiate level. While he absolutely was dominant in college, he definitely had a bit of a rough start.

In his first collegiate game, Curry finished with a respectable fifteen points, but unfortunately, he also picked up thirteen turnovers. Luckily, Curry turned things around in a hurry scooping up thirty-two points in his next game with an impressive performance.

5 His Favorite Player Was Muggsy Bogues

A lot of people probably just assume that most NBA stars of today idolized people like Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and while that may be true in part, that's not the case for everyone. Steph Curry once admitted that his favorite player was the shortest in NBA history, Muggsy Bogues.

Bogues would have played with Curry's father when he was in the NBA, letting a young Curry have someone smaller to look up to during his younger years. It's hard to not love Muggsy Bogues for defying the odds and becoming a legend.

4 He Was Nominated For An ESPY In His Sophomore Year

There is no mistake there. Curry may have been nominated for plenty of ESPY Awards at this point, but he was actually nominated for one while he was still playing in college. Being nominated for Breakthrough Player of the Year was probably the right spot for Curry.

For those that don't know, the ESPYs are basically the Oscars of the sports world. While it's not unheard of for young and new athletes to be nominated, the nomination just goes to show how much the world was paying to Curry before he even got to the NBA.

3 He Went Scoreless In One Of His Collegiate Games

These days, it's probably hard to imagine Curry entering any game and not wracking up a few three-pointers before getting off the court. While he has failed to score a few times in the NBA (something many people probably forget), he went completely scoreless once in college.

Collegiate play is the time to impress the world and show just how useful you could be if you were called up to the NBA, so there probably isn't a single player that wants to go scoreless. Shockingly, his team still managed to win without the added buckets from Curry.

2 A Lot Of Sports Writers Didn’t Believe In Curry

Something that a lot of sports writers probably won't ever admit is that many of them didn't believe in Curry when it came to the NBA. A lot of writers felt that he wasn't going to be as special as some thought and that he was too injury-prone.

How wrong were those people? While Curry has had issues with injuries, he has more than made up for that with multiple championship wins and a Hall of Fame career that is still going. His expensive signings early in his career were seen as a big risk, but management made the right call.

There seem to be quite a few NBA stars that eventually try out the world of golf. While some do better than others, it seems that Curry has actually managed to impress quite a few people with his skills on the green.

Curry is so good that he's competed and held his own against pros. While he probably isn't going to be winning any golf championships anytime soon, it's clear that Curry is able to excel in just about any athletic endeavor he tiptoes into.
