Questionable name changes are nothing new for the WWE. Throughout the last few months, several WWE superstars have had their names changed when they moved from NXT to the main roster. Pete Dunne became Butch, Piper Niven became Doudrop, and Riddick Moss became Madcap Moss. One of the most controversial name changes was when former NXT UK Champion Walter had his name changed to Gunther. It was a move that confused and upset many WWE fans.

However, that doesn't mean they've come to an end. The most recent name change came today; Raw superstar Mia Yim is now officially listed as "Michin" on the WWE roster page.

From Mia To Michin

Mia Yim

On last week's episode of Raw, Mia Yim appeared alongside AJ Styles and the OC. They had an in-ring confrontation with the Judgment Day in addition to a backstage segment. During their group interview backstage, the OC explained Mia Yim's nickname, Michin. It's the Korean word for crazy, pointing to Yim's tough and gutsy nature. Bianca Belair used the nickname later on in the episode.

Now, a week later, it seems that Mia Yim's nickname will be used as her ring name going forward. This will be her third ring name in WWE; she was briefly known as Reckoning during her time in the faction Retribution.

Michin is set to compete in the women's War Games match this weekend at Survivor Series. She will be teaming with Bianca Belair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, and one partner yet to be determined against the team of Bayley, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley, and Nikki Cross.
