WWE brought back a number of big names for their Raw 30 anniversary show this past Monday. However, missing was Mick Foley who had some of the greatest moments in Raw history. Foley recently spoke about why he wasn't there and did confirm that he was, in fact, invited.

In a Facebook post, Foley explained that he declined the invitation to attend. It wasn't out of bitterness or anything ominous. It was simply a matter of his schedule being too hectic. Foley explained: "I was definitely asked by WWE, and politely declined due to the hectic nature of my schedule." He added, "If I had not taken the past couple of days off—and instead traveled to Philadelphia for the show—I would be on the road for 32 consecutive days. I have been working on a new project—which has been great fun, but also requires a lot of travel—and I just really needed a couple days off to relax and see my wife and children."

Mankind Wins World Title 1999

Foley has stayed busy since he retired from WWE. He's got a number of projects on the go and whatever it is he's working on now is obviously taking up a ton of his spare time. If he's traveling already and away from his family quite often, it makes sense that he would prefer not to add to his already busy load. And, depending on what it was WWE might have asked him to do, it could have been hard to justify changing his mind if the part was small and not worth shifting plans around.

Foley Is A Legend And Raw 30 Missed Him

Foley is now a retired professional wrestler and author. He wrestled in the 1990s and 2000s and under many personas, including Mankind, Cactus Jack, and Dude Love. He is a four-time world champion, having held the WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, and Hardcore Championship multiple times. He was responsible for one of the biggest title-change moments in history when WCW spoiled the results of his first championship win and millions of fans all changed the channel during the Monday Night War to watch.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.
