In the world of Mixed Martial Arts, fighters compete at a highly intense level and their bodies get worn down very quickly. If they are great fighters and train hard they can compete for a long time but overall they can not fight in the sport forever. They need to find a new path to go down once they are done and sometimes they use their star power to jump into other fields.

Given that they are stars and become well known, Hollywood sometimes calls on them to enter the movie business. They are athletic and built so they fit the stereotype of an action movie star. Since most of them do not have any acting experience, however, they do not get the big roles but sometimes end up in a short scene. They could also be the lead actor but in a D-list style movie. Either way, there have been more bad movies that feature MMA stars, than there have been good ones.

10 The A-Team Reboot (Rampage Jackson)

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is one of the toughest MMA fighters in history. He has a record of 38 wins with more than half of them being by knockout. He has dipped his feet in a lot of different fields throughout the years. He has done some coaching, he entered into professional wrestling, but most notably Rampage went to Hollywood.

In 2010, 20th Century Fox created a reboot of the 1980's hit series The A-Team but took it to the big screen. The movie starred Liam Neeson, Bradly Cooper, Jessica Biel, and Rampage Jackson as B.A. Baracus. It was a modern twist on the character originally played by Mr. T. Overall Rampage did not have the original appeal as Mr. T and it was a big reason the movie flopped.

9 Kick-Ass 2 (Chuck Liddell)

Since the movie's name is Kick-Ass 2, one would think that it would require some of the stars to actually be able to kick ass. The movie follows a young man who is battling with his secret superhero identity. This is the sequel to the first movie but it has a more gruesome aspect than most superhero movies do.

Former UFC Champion Chuck Liddell plays himself in the movie as there are far few people as tough as "The Iceman" himself. He is only in the movie for one scene and does not play an important role in the film. The movie came out in 2013 but did not do as well as the first one did.

8 Force of Execution (Frank Mir)

2013 also saw the release of Steven Siegal's Force of Execution. The movie's plot follows a mob boss who sends his number one assassin to kill a former prisoner. The assassin however gets the wrong man and then has to face the consequences.

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir plays the background character of Alexander Guard #7. It is not a big part but it does come with an intense fight sequence. Steven Seagal's movies notably flop and this one is no different.

The film also co-stars actor Vinne Jones and an array of former UFC stars. Rashad Evans and Kimbo Slice have major roles in the film while Cheick Kongo and Forest Griffin are supporting fighters. Overall the fight scenes are bland and the plot is as generic as one could imagine and the characters are bland beyond belief.

6 Big Stan (Randy Couture)

Comedian Rob Schneider truly is a love him or hate him actor with many divisive movies. He stars in Big Stan and in the case of this movie, most people hated him. The film came out in 2007 and follows a conman who is arrested for fraud. He then hires a trainer to help him learn how to fight so he can stay safe in prison.

The movie also stars David Carradine, Jennifer Morrison, and Richard Kind but it scored very low with critics. MMA legend Randy Couture has a small part in the movie, but it does not make much of a difference to the plot.

5 Entourage (Ronda Rousey)

In the early to mid-2000s Entourage was a hit series on HBO that followed a young actor on his path to success. The actor was accompanied by his entourage of childhood friends and his agent, as they lived their lives in Hollywood. In 2015, HBO produced a movie to send the series off with a better finale.

In the movie, former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey plays herself and acts as a love interest for the main character's best friend Turtle. She has some back and forth comedic lines and a very funny fight sequence. Unfortunately for the cast, the movie only seemed to be a hit with the fans of the show and was not well-liked by newcomers.

Action superstar Jean-Claude Van Damme reprises his role from the original Kick Boxer movie when he plays Master Durand in the 2016 reboot. The plot follows the main character as he is out to avenge his brother after an incident. He looks for help from Durand and they train for the big fight.

Other than Van Damme, the movie also stars former WWE superstars Dave Batista, Alain Moussi, and Gina Carano. Former UFC Welterweight Champion George St-Pierre plays a small role in the film where he gets to show off his MMA skills.

The movie came out in 2017 and also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Ice Cube, and Ruby Rose. Former UFC Champion and commentator Micheal Bisping have an active role in the movie playing the character Hawk. Overall, it was a way for them to end the saga but it did not do great at the box office.

2 Tapped Out (Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida)

Is there a more MMA movie name than Tapped Out? The 2014 movie is an action-packed, bloody mess of a D-list movie. The film follows a young teenager who just lost his parents. He is sent to do community service at a rundown karate studio where he meets a mentor who is willing to train him. Once trained he enters a tournament so that he can go one on one with the person who killed his parents.

The film stars Michael Biehn, Cody Hackman, and Martin Kove of Karate Kid fame. There is a wide variety of fight scenes that take place in this movie but all of them seem cheesy. UFC legends Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida are both heavily featured in the film.

1 Zombie Strippers! (Tito Ortiz)

With a name like Zombie Strippers! one would expect this film to be awful. The film's plot is about a small Nebraska strip club that falls victim to a zombie epidemic as the main characters try and survive.

The horror-comedy stars Nightmare on Elm Street's Robert Englund as Ian and Jenna Jameson as Kat. The movie also features Jameson's ex-husband former UFC superstar Tito Ortiz. He has a small role in the film and plays the strip club's bouncer.
