Thomas Edison. Alexander Graham Bell. The Wright Brothers. Ryan McLatchy. Chip Wilson. All great inventors if you ask most of us or any warm blooded individual. The latter two may or may not be as significant as the former, but considering the increased popularity of yoga pants, they may end up on the Mount Rushmore of inventors somewhere. Sure, yoga pants have been around in some fashion since the exercise was first invented many moons ago, but chances are they certainly didn't rock a pair of Lululemon's back in those days. Now in 2016, we're fortunate enough to enjoy the form fitting and shaping pants in a variety of different prints, styles and names. Brands such as Victoria Secret, Nike, and countless others have jumped on the wagon of the most popular clothing trend in decades.

No longer are yoga pants kept in gyms and athletic facilities, but now the trend is as casual wear, active wear, work attire and even clubbing or out on the town options. And let's be honest here, if you consider how well the push-up bra has done for the undergarment industry and for the self confidence of ladies everywhere, so too has the body shaping pants and shorts that make men around the world turn their heads for a second look.

Now, just think about how good the average female looks in a pair of yoga pants (which is pretty damn good!) and then enjoy the following fifteen pics of some of the hottest, toughest, sexiest females that the UFC has to offer. Just don't let them catch you staring at them, chances are they'll kick your saggy butt for doing so.

15 15. Carla Esparza

Her nickname is The Cookie Monster and chances are high that few would kick her out for leaving crumbs lying around. Ranked third in the Women's Strawweight Division, the Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu trained Cali girl has been part of the UFC since the end of 2013.

Starting out as part of the cast of season 20 of The Ultimate Fighter, Esparza fought her way to become the first ever UFC Strawweight Champion. Unfortunately, in her second fight, the title would be lost to Joanna Jedrzejczyk. After taking a year off following shoulder surgery, the 29 year old returned to the ring this past April to claim a third round victory. Sadly for Esparza, good looks don't necessarily help pay the bills as she recently posted her financial hardships on her Instagram account.

14 14. Jessica Aguilar

Sitting outside the top ten Strawweight Division rankings, the 34 year old Veracruz, Mexico native brings a different type of sexiness to the ring. Proudly (and we are equally supportive) and openly gay, Aguilar is a big advocate of LGBT athletes around the world, which allows many to enjoy how stunning she looks in a pair of yoga pants.

As one of the longest tenured female MMA fighters, Aguilar has been in the octagon since 2006. It took nearly a decade of fighting and a 19-4 record before the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu artist would sign a contract with the UFC. Unfortunately, not only would Aguilar lose her match, but her next fight would be cancelled due to an ACL injury that has kept her on the shelf. Nothing more comfortable to wear during rehab than a pair of yoga pants!

13 13. Aleksandra Albu

Her fight resume may be on the small side (for those counting at home, it is 2-0 with a 1-0 UFC record), but we aren't here to judge her win/loss record in the ring, we're here to focus on how well Stitch fills out a pair of yoga pants.

Standing at 5'2", 115 pounds, the 26 year old Russian has taken a hiatus from the ring in order to focus on her final year of university studies. With a fighting background in Karate and Judoka, the Russian beauty has chiseled away at her well shaped body through her bodybuilding and power-lifting history. Not only does her rear end capture a second look of by-passers but so to do her incredibly toned gams. Albu gives us something else to thank Russia for other than vodka.

12 12. Claudia Gadelha

Born in Brazil, but calling New Jersey home, the 28 year old Strawweight UFC fighter has been admired for her well defined muscular body that isn't limited to her upper torso, which displays one of the tightest washboards in the UFC. As seen in many of her weigh-in sessions, along with a number of her magazine pictorials, Gadelha more than fills out the stereotype of a Brazilian booty and we all know how good a well toned rear end looks in a pair of yoga pants.

Currently ranked first in the Strawweight Division, Gadelha signed with the UFC in 2013 and competed in her first fight in the summer of 2014. After winning her first twelve MMA fights and three of her five UFC matches, the only thing stopping Gadelha from wearing a championship belt is Joanna Jedrzejczyk, who has come out victorious in their two meetings.

11 11. Milana Dudieva

The Russian submission machine is currently taking a time out from the UFC octagon as she's awaiting the birth of her first child. After losing her first professional fight in 2009, the 27 year old Russian Bantamweight mixed martial artist ran off an eight match winning streak. Possessing a 10-3 professional fight record, Dudieva signed on with the UFC for a match scheduled for June 2014 in Vancouver, BC, but would be pulled from the card due to injury.

Debuting two months later, Dudieva captured a split decision against Elizabeth Phillips before dropping her next two UFC fights. Nothing says comfort and relaxing for the mom to be more than a pair of yoga pants. We also hope she keeps them on after the maternity leave as well.

10 10. Jessica Eye

She may be under temporary retirement status, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything when it comes to how good she looks in a pair of yoga pants. After a smoking hot start to her professional MMA career, where she ran off a 10-1 record, Eye was signed to a contract with Dana White and the UFC as part of the Bantamweight Division.

From there, her fighting career hit a downward spiral. Starting with her debut fight in which she had originally captured a split decision victory, but was eventually overturned due to drug use, Eye would only win one of her seven Ultimate Fighting Championship matches. Just as she stated in her Cosmopolitan Magazine interview last August, she likes having big legs and we think those muscular legs look just great in a pair of yoga pants!

9 9. Kailin Curran

When the then 23 year old Hawaiian made her UFC debut against Paige VanZant, it made male fight fans go gaga, especially during their pre-fight weigh in. Sporting a .500 MMA fight record at 404, which includes just one victory in the UFC Strawweight Division, there is still high expectations that Curran can break into the rankings of the elite fighters.

With a kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighting background, the first female fighter to come out of Hawaii made her MMA debut at the age of 18. Although she has struggled to claim more than one UFC victory, Curran has already found herself in the octagon with two of the biggest names in the company (and on this list), having faced off against VanZant and Felice Herrig.

8 8. Jessica Penne

Standing at 5'5", Penne has legs that just don't seem to quit. With belts in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo, the Newport Beach, California native ranks just outside of the top ten in the UFC Strawweight Division rankings, but more importantly, falls within it on our list!

In 2014, Penne was announced as one of the 16 competitors on The Ultimate Fighter 20 (Team Pettis vs. Team Melendez). Although Penne is only 1-2 in her three UFC sanctioned fights, her overall 12-4 MMA record, which includes winning her first seven fights, is still impressive. While there is a number of pictures of Penne floating around rocking a nicely fitted bikini, seeing her well taken care of frame in a pair of body clenching yoga pants is equally as enjoyable.

7 7. Alexis Davis

It’s only right to give some love to a beauty from North of the boarder. Ok, sure she lasted only 16 seconds against Ronda Rousey (something that we are sure she would like everyone to forget) in her match for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight title, but she has managed to keep herself within the top fifteen rankings despite of that dark moment.

Davis has not backed down from any of the challenges that Dana White has presented her with, facing five top ten ranked opponents in each of her matches with the organization since signing in 2013. Hailing from Ontario, Canada, Davis made her MMA debut at the age of 23 facing Sarah Kaufman, an opponent who would become a long time foe. After facing Kaufman in 2015 for the third time in their careers, Davis would take a break from the octagon to have her first child. Despite a loss in her return match on December 3rd, it's impressive to see Davis’ body back in fighting form post pregnancy.

6 6. Miesha Tate

She may be freshly retired from the world of Mixed Martial Arts and the UFC following her two most recent losses, but we cannot avoid including such a beauty on this list.

After dropping the UFC Bantamweight Title in July and then falling short in her latest match in November, the former champion left the octagon with a professional record of 18-7. Trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, boxing and wrestling, this MMA machine has been one of the biggest names in the industry since turning professional in 2007. Like others on this list, Tate shows that pretty girls can fight as well with features in ESPN The Body Issue and other fitness publication. Although her upper body is much ogled, her lower anatomy is equally as pleasuring to the male eye.

5 5. Felice Herrig

She may be a little older than some of the other fighters on this list, at 32 years of age, however, there is nothing sagging on this Muay Thai kickboxing machine. Before signing her UFC contract, Herrig posted a 23-5 record as part of the Pro Women's Muay Thai Bantamweight Division.

With a rear-end that can crush walnuts, let alone fill a pair of tight yoga pants, the Lil' Bulldog is ranked just outside of the top 20 of the UFC Strawweight rankings despite having only two fights under the UFC brand. With her next fight scheduled for February 2017, Herrig has some time in between her busy training schedule to enjoy posting some very enjoyable and tasteful pics on various print media outlets (check out her Muscle and Fitness layout) and her Instagram.

4 4. Ronda Rousey

For five years (2010-2015) you couldn't get away from the name Ronda Rousey. As one of the most dominating fighters during that period of time, Rousey was must-see TV, as she ran through anyone and everyone that was in her way, mostly within the first round of each of her twelve professional fights (only her match with Miesha Tate went to the third round).

The whole world (fight fan or not) knows what happened on November 15th, 2015, as Rousey lost her Bantamweight Championship to Holly Holm and she hasn't been in the ring since, though her return is scheduled for this coming Friday in a match against Amanda Nunes. Thanks to ESPN's The Body Issue and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, fans of the 29 year old California beauty have had an artistic glimpse of her well toned glutes without clothes on, but that doesn't mean we still can't appreciate a snug fitting pair of yoga pants.

3 3. Julianna Pena

The Venezuelan Vixen, who is currently ranked third in the UFC Bantamweight Division, is as hot in the ring as she is out of it. With an undefeated UFC 4-0 record, the Spokane, Washington native has currently caught the attention of fight fans (and non-fight fans as well) for calling out her former Ultimate Fighter Season 18 coach Ronda Rousey for her time away from the sport and all the questions and concerns that it brought.

Trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing, Pena is currently scheduled to take on Valentina Shevchenko in a match on January 28th as part of UFC On Fox. If you think that Pena's well toned lower anatomy fills out a pair of yoga pants well, just image what it looks like out of it (you really don't have to imagine that much, just go see for yourself with some very tasteful pics floating around already).

2 2. Paige VanZant

Blonde, check. California girl, check. Blue eyes, check. Toned body, check. Nice tight rump, double check (one for each cheek). Perfect description of a body that rocks a pair of yoga pants.

With a record of 7-3-0 and currently ranked ninth in the Women's Strawweight Division, 12 Gauge made and won her pro MMA fighting debut at the age of 18. While Ronda Rousey was on the sidelines training and recovering, VanZant took over as the unofficial spokeswoman for the UFC female division, as she combined her stunning good looks with her immediate success in the ring, winning her first three UFC sanctioned matches. Some may feel that the former model has been given more attention than she has yet to deserve due to her stunning good looks, but ask any of her opponents and they'll tell you that the 5'4", 115 pound bombshell packs one hell of a punch. And while they aren't Lululemon's, VanZant more than knows how to fill out a pair of Reebok yoga pants!

1 1. Michelle Waterson

Her nickname is The Karate Hottie and she more than lives up to the moniker. The 30 year old Taiwanese beauty from Colorado has captured success and attention both in and out of the caged octagon. With a long list of fighting styles under her belt, including Karate, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and boxing to name but a few, Waterson entered the world of MMA back in 2007 with a unanimous decision victory at the Ring of Fire 28 event.

After floating around various fight organizations, Waterson signed with the UFC in 2015 as part of the Strawweight Division and has put together an impressive overall MMA record of 14-4-0. With a victory over Paige VanZant recently, Waterson not only holds a victory over the blonde beauty in the ring, but also on this list.
