Fans will have to wait a little while longer for the return of former UFC Bantamweight Women's Champion Ronda Rousey.
UFC President Dana White told ESPN's Cari Champion on Sportscenter Thursday that Rousey had minor knee surgery yesterday. The surgery was described as "nothing serious," by White.
While the UFC was hoping to get Rousey back by November for their Madison Square Garden debut in New York, it is now looking like Rousey will return as late as December 2016 or possibly even early 2017. This of course would push Rousey's return back even further from the original plan of having her return at UFC 200.
As far as her opponent goes, White has said that Rousey would face whoever has the Bantamweight title, which is currently held by her longtime nemesis Miesha Tate.
