Nowadays, the focus and importance of wrestlers being jacked and having incredible physiques is not as crucial. However, Vince McMahon has always leaned towards people with great bodies, which is something that he has pushed heavily throughout history, often giving talents pushes regardless of their in-ring ability.

Some fantastic wrestlers have magnificent physiques as well, which is something that has led to outstanding success for many talents. These types of wrestlers always end up being larger than life, and that helps fans truly connect to them, wanting to learn about what they do throughout their lives, even if they leave WWE.

UPDATE: 2022/10/03 16:30 EST BY SHAWN S. LEALOS

Wrestlers remain jacked to an extent, but not as much as yesteryear. Thanks to stringent drug testing and a ban on steroids, wrestlers in WWE today rely more on their in-ring talents and less on just showing off big muscles. However, in 2022, there are still men who stand tall above all others with bodies that normal people would only dream of achieving. Looking at the recently returned Braun Strowman, and it is clear he spent his time out of WWE working on his amazing physique, and he is not only a monster among men in height but remains jacked beyond belief as well. Add in names like Bobby Lashley and NXT's Bron Breakker, and jacked, muscled physiques clearly still exist in professional wrestling.

UPDATE: 2023/01/04 07:30 EST BY JOEY HAVERFORD

Each era of wrestling has seen jacked wrestlers getting chances to succeed. Things have changed enough now where it no longer gets one an automatic job, but it will always be a part of wrestling. Various wrestlers from past eras don’t get discussed as much, despite once being viewed as relevant prospects due to their physiques.

The names to get overlooked have fascinating tales about where their career took them beyond a wrestling push. Every wrestler with a great look hopes to make that jump to the top of the card, but some end up doing other things. The stories about even more all-time jacked wrestlers are worth exploring.

18 Ryback

WWE once viewed Ryback as a future top star thanks to his physique when booking him to start with an undefeated streak. Unfortunately, a loss to CM Punk and terrible programs after that led to things falling apart faster than expected.

Ryback left WWE after his deal expired and has not been too active in the wrestling world. Other projects like having his own supplement company or regularly posting food vlogs are his main public efforts these days away from the squared circle.

17 The Warlord

One of the most jacked yet overlooked wrestlers was The Warlord back in the Golden Era. WWE loved the look of Warlord and tried to push him into a relevant role. There were more misses than hits for Warlord to end his run in lackluster fashion.

Warlord continued wrestling on and off in smaller roles for a few years, but he entered another field. Relief Group International is the company that employs Warlord in the private security field to help with their auto relief group and investment banking.

WWE signed German bodybuilder Brakkus to get a huge push in the New Generation Era, but the lack of wrestling experience made it hard to commit to him. Brakkus looked out of place in his rare WWE matches and was even sent to ECW as part of their working relationship.

Taz squashing Brakkus in ECW was probably the most memorable moment of the latter’s career. WWE gave up after a few more matches failed there. Brakkus now is a sports nutritionist and personal trainer utilizing the things that helped his physique in wrestling.

Most recently, he appeared on the MCU Disney+ series She-Hulk as Derek, a man who went on a date with the hero.

13 Beth Phoenix

The Divas of Doom

For the most jacked female wrestlers in history, few compare to Beth Phoenix. Unlike someone like Nicole Bass, Phoenix was able to develop her jacked physique, while still comparing well with the more model-esque wrestlers that Vince McMahon loved to book.

That helped her become a champion in the company. She has since retired from WWE and married fellow superstar Edge, where the couple has two children. However, Phoenix remains jacked to this day, showing back up in WWE to help Edge even the odds against Rhea Ripley, another jacked wrestler who likes to stand up to men in the ring.

Before Hulk Hogan came into the wrestling world, bragging about his 24-inch pythons, Superstar Billy Graham was a WWE world champion who had the same gimmick. However, unlike Hogan, who played the role of a babyface most of his career, Graham was a hated heel who used his jacked physique to dominate over babyfaces in the company.

Graham has admitted that he used steroids for much of his career as a bodybuilder and wrestler to develop this jacked body, and they, unfortunately, took their toll on him in his later life. He has since lectured young athletes on the dangers of steroids. Graham has suffered from liver and heart problems over the last decade and sadly passed away on May 17, 2023.
