Tyson Kidd and Natalya are a well-known couple in the pro-wrestling industry. They are also one of the most decorated couples in the business, with six championship reigns between them throughout their time in WWE.

While Tyson Kidd might've hung up his wrestling boots, his wife Natalya is still going strong as an in-ring performer and remains one of WWE's key performers in the women's division.

7 They Knew Each Other Since They Were Kids

Natalya and Tyson Kidd have known each other for 27 years. The Queen of Harts first met her future husband when she was only 12 as Tyson Kidd became friends with her cousins, Teddy Hart and Harry Smith.

Tyson Kidd started his pro-wrestling training when he was only 14-years-old at the Hart Family Dungeon. He was friends with Teddy Hart and Harry Smith since he was 10, and it led to him developing a close bond with the Hart family, basically living with them for several years where he eventually came to know Natalya in the process.

6 When Did They Start Dating?

Tyson Kidd must've had a tough time in taking his friendship with Natalya to the next level as he was very close with the Hart family members. But they eventually took it further and started dating from November 2001.

Natalya was 19-years-old when they started to see each other, and since then, they've been together despite various ups and downs in their relationship.

Because of their wrestling background, she and Tyson Kidd have a very unorthodox relationship. They lived and trained together since they were kids, and they knew that it was a match made in heaven.

5 Their WWE Debuts

Both Natalya and Tyson Kidd signed their first WWE contracts around the same time. Kidd was the first to get the deal as he signed his developmental contract with WWE in November 2006, while Natalya signed hers in January 2007.

WWE assigned them both to Deep South Wrestling and later shuffled them between FCW and OVW before Natalya became the first to make her television debut in April 2008, followed by Kidd in February 2009. Natalya continued to manage Tyson Kidd in ECW until they were joined by their real-life cousin in May 2009.

4 The Hart Dynasty

David Hart Smith joined Tyson Kidd and Natalya on the May 12, 2009, episode of ECW. Together they formed The Hart Trilogy, which they later renamed The Hart Dynasty.

The trio got traded to SmackDown in July 2009, and from there, they worked their way up the roster. The Hart Dynasty turned face at WrestleMania 26 after they helped Bret Hart to defeat Vince McMahon at the event.

They won the Unified Tag Team Championships from The Miz and The Big Show on the April 26, 2010 episode of Raw. They continued to work together as a team until they disbanded in late 2010.

3 Their Wedding

Natalya and Tyson Kidd lived together for 12 years before they officially tied the knot in 2013. They had been dating since 2001, and according to Natalya, Tyson never proposed to her, and they were basically a married couple even before their official wedding.

But the creators of Total Divas wanted them to have an official wedding for the show, and they planned the ceremony in five weeks, and it took place on June 26, 2013. The wedding got featured on the first season of Total Divas on the September 15, 2013 episode.

Natalya has been a main character in the Total Divas reality television series since its first season in 2013. By default, Tyson Kidd also had to be a part of the show and the episodes featured various phases of their relationship.

The show also portrayed their life after the wedding and the post-marital problems the couples faced in their daily lives, and how they overcame them. While Natalya continued to be a main cast member, Tyson Kidd got removed from the show after the fifth season after his unfortunate retirement.

1 Tyson Kidd's Retirement & The Aftermath

On June 1, 2015, Tyson Kidd suffered a spinal cord injury after taking a Muscle Buster from Samoa Joe. WWE stated that Kidd would be out of action for over a year, but the injury was far worse than imagined, and Kidd tweeted that only five percent of people survived such damage and that they had to insert four screws and a rod inside his neck.

He had to hang up his wrestling boots for good, and in June 2017, Kidd took up the role as a backstage producer for WWE. Natalya was also severely impacted by his injury as she had to witness her husband go through tough rehabs on his road to recovery.

Natalya stood with Tyson Kidd as he had to make the toughest decision of his life and give up his dream of being a pro wrestler. But all those years together only made their relationship stronger, and Natalya helped Kidd to recover from the injury and return to the pro wrestling business in a backstage role.
