LeBron James could opt out of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers and find a new home this summer, and the Philadelphia 76ers have been widely rumored as a possible fit for The King.

And it looks like the 76ers truly are interested in vying for his services. According to NJ.com's Zach Rosenblatt, Philly is "doing everything they can to clear enough cap space to sign him outright to a max contract."

With a handful of rising superstars in Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz, the 76ers certainly look like the best fit for LeBron - should he decide to stay in the Eastern Conference. The 76ers are building up a team that should contend over the next 10 years, which could entice LeBron to come aboard.

It's worth noting that ESPN's Ryen Russillo recently reported that LeBron is trying to find other superstars that want to play with him in Cleveland first. ESPN's Brian Windhorst also recently mentioned that the Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers are the two teams LeBron is considering this offseason, so the 76ers efforts may be all for nothing.

According to Spotrac.com, the 76ers have just over $30.5 million in salary cap space, so the room is there for them to sign LeBron. He may even consider taking a pay cut if the 76ers can land another superstar, such as Kawhi Leonard or Paul George.

One of the main questions is whether or not LeBron would want to play for a Philly team that relies more on its big men (Simmons and Embiid), than outside shooters. LeBron needs players that can shoot from anywhere if he wants to dethrone the Golden State Warriors.

We know the 76ers, Lakers and Cavaliers are all realistic options for LeBron James, plus you never know which other teams will get into the mix. It promises to be a very intriguing next couple of weeks.
